What can you say? Jacksonville was coming off a road game in London and they looked flat on offense. Bortles was terrible. Browns also look horrible. There is still a lot of season left. We can win in Cleveland next week and realistically lose out for the remainder of the season. From your lips . . . Only problem (and this is normally a good thing) is this team seems to be galvanizing. The old us against the world / nobody gives us a chance attitude. They are just shooting from the hip and asking questions later. I can see this team winning 5 games.

You are 100% right and, in the long scheme of things, we are better off having these young players continue to develop. The early returns on this draft class are very promising. Look, in recent history, teams have moved a boatload of picks to get into the first two spots in the draft and select a QB. If we are picking in the top 6 and there is a QB we really like, we can get them. I refuse to feel bad about the Jets winning games at this stage of the season, but you can't help but question how healthy it is for the team's long term hopes to continue to have a 38 year old QB winning games for us.

While there are some promising signs, this team has still not done anything to convince me they are that much different from what I expected when the season began. I predicted 5-11 in our predict the record thread. I never though they were the worst team in the NFL, and I still don't. 5-11 and picking somewhere between 6 & 10 still sounds about right.
So far we have beaten Jay Cutler and Blake Bortles. Both guys were awful. Maybe our defense had something to do with it, but there were plenty of times the last two weeks when both guys had clean pockets and open receivers and still made bad throws. Both guys were terribly inaccurate when they had time to throw. We still allowed 150+ rushing yards to Jacksonville yesterday. We have likely wins on our schedule against Cleveland & the Chargers and if we split the remaining games with Buffalo and Miami. 5 wins.
Don't get me wrong. I love what I am seeing out of guys like Adams, Maye, Ealy, Bass, Anderson, Powell, Mcguire, OL. Unlike last season, this is an easy team to root for. Definitely some pieces to build around. But they are who I thought they were -- at least until they beat a quality team.

We can not and I stress NOT win this game.
Browns are 0-4 and they don't have a lot of other wins on their schedule. Maybe Titans without Mariota (if he's out for 2 weeks), Jax, @ Chargers, @bears. Maybe?
This has to be win number 1 for Cleveland.
They are not passing on Darnold or Rosen for Kizer so it's imperative that we at least tie with them for our record so we win (lose) the head-to-head.
Last week was the perfect game for us to lose, played really tough, showed heart and a loss in OT would have stung a tad but would have been the best thing for the franchise.
Do not let this loss slip away.

The Jets are in all likelihood winning between 4 and 6 games this year. It's time for everyone to start focusing on guys like Falk, Allen and Jackson. No way in hell the Jets finish with less wins than the Browns or 49ers. Hell, you can probably even throw teams like Indy and Chicago into the mix as well.

I'm a massive Falk fan but I still can't give up hope for Darnold/Rosen. It all starts Sunday. And I'd be ok with pick number 2 but the losing starts now. _
