in past 24 hours....A spokesman for Fanatics, which runs the NFL's online store, confirmed to ESPN that, over the past 24 hours, more Villanueva gear, including jerseys and name and number T-shirts, has been ordered than that of any other NFL player.
Villanueva beat out New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for the top spot. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers rounded out the top five over the past day.
A former Army Ranger who earned a Bronze Star and served three tours in Afghanistan, Villanueva was the only Steelers player who came outside the tunnel during Sunday's national anthem, after the team collectively decided not to be on the sideline during the song. Pictures and video of Villanueva standing, with his hand on his heart, filled social media networks.

I despise the Steelers almost as much as the Patriots but I may just buy his jersey as well. Would make a bigger statement than kneeling.

^^ Screw Tomlin.
Grown men can make their own decisions, and I applaud Villanueva for standing up to honor the flag, the anthem, and the country. A true American patriot, and he should be thanked for his service, not forced to hide in a locker room.

Too late the coward cucked out Get your money back Yes and no. He got guilted into that. Seems like the Steelers were pretty torn up on the issue. Big Ben said he couldnt sleep last night because they didnt come out. I will give Villanueva a break bc he is an actual hero. The rest can go fuck themselves. Cant have it both ways.

The man did three tours in Afghanistan and has a Bronze Star. He is absolutely a hero. He might be the only player in the NFL who earned his right to say anything. Certainly earned it more than I have.

Someone had a chance to make a difference and they tossed it in the crapper.

Common dude, it was an accident. Yes, the initial reports were all wrong, lied about and shitty, but they had to say something about the incident. Bad lighting, divided forces, Pat was close in proximity to Afghanis, etc. Truth came out later and the guy who might have pulled the trigger has had a rough go since. Pure accident. "We" didn't kill him.
