Tanny is Quinn's representative, and WILL represent him during contract negotiations if he's offered a HC job. Call me crazy, but why in the world would Tanny recommend the Jets to his client. Do you think for one minute he wants to face his own client twice a year. This is fucked up.....Truly, this shit only happens to the F-ing Jets If Quinn wants to come to the jets, and the jets want him, Tanny won't stand in the way. An agent is supposed to represent his clients best interests... Not their own How can Tanny possibly represent clients in negotiations with rivals after agreeing to work for the fins? It sure looks like a blatant conflict of interest, and possibly a violation of a fiduciary interest with regard to his new Dolphin job, though he hasn't started yet. Tannenbaum is a lawyer and would know all this. Would be be surprised if he continues to represent clients. No matter what its still a pretty big damn fly in the ointment if Quinn is the guy.

Well, we won't need to worry about their draft. They won't have any picks left. I'm not too sure of that. When Tannenbaum worked with Mangini and the focus was to build through the draft, he was not that bad. Players like D'brick, Mangold, Cotchery, Revis, Brad Smith, Harris, and Greene were, and in some cases still pretty good players. It wasn't until Woody created the circus that Tannenbaum's drafts became suspect

Not their own In a perfect world maybe, you dont think Tanny will steer Quin away. I do. This should have not been allowed in the first place as Tanny was already working for the Fins as a consultant. You know Tanny wants to rub this in Woody's face. This might get ugly with Quinn, F Tanny!! Don't you think Quinn is aware of Tannys situation?

Before Tanny joined the Fins, I don't think there was going to be an issue at all between Tanny and Woody negotiating a deal to bring Quinn here. I actually don't think there's really any bad blood between Tanny and Woody. Now that Tanny is part of the Dolphins organization...a division rival, there could be some agendas in place. Wouldn't surprise me either if Ross has talked with Tanny about not letting Quinn coach here. Intriguing how this plays out and I don't think Quinn coming here is a slam dunk as it could have been just a day ago.

This fucking team and its drama and bad luck (caused by its dysfunctional ownership and management). Goddammit. You've interviewed a bunch of guys, pick a GM and HC and move on for fuck's sake. Otherwise we will be left holding the bag for the only candidates left standing.

We traded up in 2007 to get Revis and Harris and were tied for the fewest selections. In 2008, we traded up to get Dustin Keller and didn't draft again until the 4th round. Cotchery was under Bradway BTW.

Mike T is an agent for Priority Sports Entertainment. He's not at his own company. There are plenty of Bob Sugars there who will want the commission from a Quinn contract and the company itself does not want any conflict of interests themselves as it could effect maximum value a client could get. I highly doubt Mike T will be representing anyone after this news broke today.

Tannenbaum's not even as bad as you guys are implying (or stating). 99% of the fanbase was slobbering over Idzik's knob for the past two years, while Tannenbaum actually drafted virtually all of our good players. I hate Miami more than any other team, and hope Tannenbaum fails miserably, but being a little objective isn't a bad thing. Wouldn't be so quick to celebrate.

To be honest, with the history of this franchise, I have no faith that patience is going to reward us here. It might, but my money is going on the "left standing at the altar" option. I really hope I'm wrong, and maybe Casserly and Wolf are the differentiators this time around here, but...
Either way its exhausting.

I am seriously trying to bite my tongue (control my typing) but I am seeing an increasing likelihood that there is no way we upgrade the head coach position from 2014 to 2015. If Quinn is now turning sour on the Jets because of either Tannenbaum or Carroll, Marrone did not interview well, and Bowles may be leaning towards Atlanta or Chicago, then we are clearly heading towards tier 2 and tier 3 candidates for HC.
I think we are going to look back and realize that we fired a guy we simply got tired of, and we had to fire in order to get a high-quality GM. If we do not end up with an excellent GM or a coach that is at least on par with Rex Ryan, this off-season will once again be a colossal fuck up. I am not trying to jump the gun but we have to look forward at some possible outcomes here.
