Just got a CBS Sports notification that AJ McCarron is the backup plan and that Cincinnati offered to trade him to us before last season, but were asking too much. I'd throw up a little if this happened. Id rather get Tebow and Rex and run the wildcat all day. I'd quickly get sick of his tranny-looking wife.

Change the subject of this thread to Jets "will do whatever it takes" to go 8-8 for the next 4 or 5 seasons.

Can't this team just Fucking Draft a QB at 6 and build around him or her?

Can't this team just Fucking Draft a QB at 6 and build around him or her? So basically, hope that the Jets can land the 4th ranked QB in the draft and that he ends up panning out vs signing a proven commodity who is already an established Top 10-12 NFL QB, is intimately familiar with the offense we’re set to run, and should have at least 5-6 years of quality play left in him... I’m taking Cousins

So I was watching a German porn awhile ago and it reminded me of the Jets. This guy was bangin a chick doggy style and then said something to her in German. I think he might have quoted Kirk Cousins and as he slid his cock in her ass he said "You like that!?!?". She looked back at him, smiled, and said "Ja, in da mushy". That's what the Jets are. In the mushy.

I just read the article and I'm going to have to chalk it up to pre-free agent/draft posturing or trying to run up the price for Denver. I'm going to be extremely unhappy if they break the bank for Cousins. He has proven he is a good QB and deserves to get a raise but as for the Jets breaking the bank for him.....no way.

Statistically cousins would be our best starting qb in franchise history. How could anyone be against signing him.
Sure, he's not worth being the nfls highest player, but it will only last for so long. Wait until Rodgers, Russell Wilson, jameis Winston, Derek Carr, etc resign. They will all get paid a lot more. It's the new going rate for QBs, And the cap gets higher every year.
We will have close to 100 million in cap space so you can sign him for 30 million a season and still have another 70 million to play with.
Jets will not be able to get darnold or rosen at 6. And I'm not sold on Allen or Mayfield. Cousins is the best option and can make us a contender next year.
Also who cares what the price is. We haven't seen a real qb on the jets in decades. Fully gaurentee the whole contract if you need to. We have enough cap space to do this and still be active in free agency. It also allows you to take the bpa in the draft.

I was thinking about this last week, when some people were saying Cousins would give the Jets a top-10 starting QB.
So I tried to figure out where I'd rank him --and this is, of course, debatable, because I'm going to put some younger, less proven guys ahead of him by virtue of having a "higher ceiling."
So here's who I'd put in front of him (in no particular order: Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck (assuming health), Marcus Mariota, Deshaun Watson, Derek Carr and Philip Rivers in the AFC, and Carson Wentz, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson, and possibly Jimmy Garoppolo and Jared Goff in the NFC.
If all of those guys are placed ahead of Cousins, that would put his rank at No. 18. Maybe Luck will never be healthy again, and maybe Mariota, Winston, Garoppolo and Goff won't reach their ceiling. If none of them do, then I'd have Cousins ranked no higher than No. 13.
Since I believe Cousins' ceiling would be no higher than to be about the 12th-best QB in the league, I'd rather take my chances in drafting one and developing him. The 12th-best QB would be capable of winning a championship, but we'd have to build a pretty incredible team around him to get to that level. I don't think Cousins will be able to raise the level of his team anywhere near the way that, say, Rodgers and Wilson do theirs.

Plus, he's the only one that's a free agent.
