So remind me again why they didn’t do it 5 weeks ago? Green Bay is already interviewing candidates. Didn't want to take a chance of winning any more games.

We don’t have a general nfl thread, so I’ll put this here.
Just saw Baker Mayfield fined over $10g for making a scene gesture towards offensive coordinator Kitchens. Isn’t that the Browns OC?

So remind me again why they didn’t do it 5 weeks ago? Green Bay is already interviewing candidates. Probably because they want Maccagnan the fucking idiot hire the new head coach ... and he's involved in losing the last few games of the season ... and to have him thinking about a new head coach, let alone interviewing one, while involved with losing the last few games would be just too much for his fucking idiot brain to cope with. Also ... the longer they wait, the more likely they will have to settle for someone rather than be forced to make a selection ... which is better for Maccagnan the fucking idiot. You don't want him to have to make a choice ... it's better for him to be left with no selections ... just be forced to take whoever is left. This sound like a very rational reason why they haven't fired Bowles yet. Of course there's one other possibility ... that Maccagnan the fucking idiot does not have the balls to see Bowles fired just yet ... he's already blamed him for all the losses, and for the terrible roster situation ... so maybe he's afraid Bowles will knock a few of his fucking idiot teeth out ... which would be well deserved.

Jesus who writes for nfl.com? Bunch of fucking idiots. Must be related to Maccagnan.
“Hey, remember that dickhead coach and GM, around the mid 20 teens?” “Oh yeah, what was his name... Brown Turd or somethin like that.” “Yeah, somethin like that. But that 2015 season sure was fun.” “Oh yeah it was. Those were the days.”

Looks like Harbaugh will be back in Baltimore after that win.
Who is the top guy now? McCarthy? Unless they can get Arians out of the booth?

Reports are, the Browns have already contacted McCarthy for their head coaching vacancy, as have the Cardinals who reportedly have offered him full control of the organization. If the Jets want him they’re keeping negotiations under wraps or they’re asleep at the switch....as usual.

They have done an outstanding job in Cleveland.

Gase fired in Miami...
If I remember right, Gase was a good QB coach in GB under McCarthy and was very good at it.
Bring back the McCarthy/Gase duo to NY?

Out of all the teams that fired their HC, not a single one got rid of their GM.
I think people are grossly exaggerating Macc preventing a quality coach from coming here.

I guess they'd shit-can Keim to bring in McCarthy. Im getting the feeling McCarthy sits out a year and gets paid by GB, and re-assesses after next season, when a stronger rookie QB class is coming out. I think the Jets would really need to blow him out of the water to get him. If Im him and I take a job this year, its probably Cleveland... and I never thought Id be saying that.
