If this is true I am happy for Dunbar. He has earned the opportunity. Sexton really is the best agent in the biz. I disagree
Not sure Dunbar can be a coordinator
It's the same thing as suggesting Westoff, Norv Turner, or somebody like Monte Kiffin would be a good Head Coach, not sure if he would. Some guys are just coordinators, some are just good position coaches.
Like Rex Ryan. I'm not saying Dunbar is going to be a great one but you would be hard pressed to find a position coach with a better resume and this is the next step up the ladder.

Yeah, never thought Schwartz would stay as Rex's DC - that means he's available and could come to the Jets. Would love to have him here.

Roman is reportedly per NFL network interviewing with Browns for their OC position, this could be interesting to watch. Both Rex and Pettine after the same guy? Guess the media is jumping the gun on the Rex staff in Buffalo.

Was out all day, but for what it's worth just saw at 10:45 PM on the NFL Network ticker... Rex, Roman, and Thurman.

Maybe that's what took all day - convincing the Bills' front office to let him bring in his guys instead of Schwartz, who the Bills wanted to keep.

Schwartz is taking the DC job Not sure this is accurate Schwartz and Rex are about polar opposites when it comes to defensive philosophy. I'll believe it when I see it. Really? Schwartz coached for 9 years under Jeff Fisher, who coached under Buddy Ryan in Houston, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Fisher and Schwartz are close. Schwartz even hired Fisher's son as a D coach in Detroit. As far as philosophy, they both want attacking, hard hitting D's that get to the QB. No Cover 2 or 2 gap schemes for these guys. They want to force the O into errors. Other than the fact that we label their D's as 4-3 or 3-4, there is not a big difference between the 2.

Losing Dunbar isn't great, but it's not insurmountable, either. Wilkerson, Sheldon, Coples were all 1st round picks and would have been successful with or without Dunbar. I think the only player we can really credit Dunbar for is Damon Harrison. That was a classic case of taking a no-name and turning him into a solid player.

I thought Rex wanted Trestman as his OC what happened to that? Strange that the Bills FO were the ones to make that hire, not Rex....seems odd that he can't pick his OC....or his DC, if Gym Shorts stays on.

Dunbar did good here but pretty sure our DL was already a strength prior to his arrival with the likes of Pouha, DeVito and Ellis having good season s before he arrived
