Thomas Rawls signed. We'd better not move out Powell.
Travis Swanson visited today also. Could push Long to LG and Carpenter off the team?

My reading is that Suh blew the offer by going public. Jets didn't even bring him in for a visit, but made a strong bid which shows they were interested but wanted to keep it quiet.
Suh going public - clearly in an attempt to start a bidding war against the Jets' deal - led to the Jets pulling the deal. The last thing they want is to be used as leverage to up other offers, or end up with a player who wanted to go elsewhere but ends up coming to NY purely for the money.
They saw a talented player on the market, and they took a shot. No shame in that. Also no shame in pulling the offer after a few days when Suh hadn't accepted it - fairly common for contract offers to have a time limit. Suh thought he could keep the Jets dangling, with their offer in his pocket, and come back in a week if he didn't get a better offer. He was wrong.
Personally, I am glad it fell through and wasn't all that enthused about the offer in the first place. He was seriously overpaid by Miami, it didn't do them much good, and he is probably looking for a similar payday now on his final big deal. Let someome else make that mistake. He's a good player, but can anyone remember any game against us where he truly dominated? I can't.
Lets move on with Leo, Steve, Big Mike, X-Coop, Deon and add a guy in the mid to late rounds of the draft.

From December ^ by Voch from last month ^ by Sam Gold Just give them a watch if you have doubts about Broadway Baker. All I'm saying is...he makes big boy throws & he relates to his teammates. Same way teammates relate to Josh (see. Jamal Adams tweets calling him Uncle Josh & the video of his playing basketball and dunking on dudes). Josh McCown would be the perfect mentor for him honestly. To help his progressions. His accuracy with his care to want to win & attitude is much needed. I'd go to war with him as our franchise QB. All I'm saying, if the Jets thought the Broncos were taking Baker & already assumed at least 2 QBs would be gone by the Broncos pick, I would've traded up too. Dare the Bills to trade all their capital for Rosen at 2 & still end up with Baker at 3 at worst. Rosen is still 1A for me but like I said, Baker is 1B, not 2. I am increasingly coming to the same conclusion. If we come away with Rosen or Baker at 3, I will be happy. Since the trade up, I have watched more and more of all the top QBs. Allen is far too big a risk at 3. Amazing arm, far too inconsistent. Baker performs well in every department, apart from height. And, to me, that's something he has proved he can overcome.

Would be a huge upgrade over Skrine in the slot. Hopefully they can close the deal without letting him go to Cleveland. Especially if they can get him while keeping his cap hit under $6M for 2018. Would upgrade the position and save cap money into the bargain.

Holy shit...is this real?!? You sure that is legit? That twitter account has 15 followers and this is the second tweet since September. I am guessing it is a fake account. Sorry, fake account. Kind of relieved. Suh is a complete dickhead.

I'd rank them Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield.
I like them all, but think in the end we pick the best available Josh - either Rosen or Allen.
Rosen is more ready to start early and is the safer pick, injury worries and personality stuff aside, and far less likely to bust. He will be a good QB early.
Allen is a lottery ticket who could become the best or worst QB in the league. The small school stuff and his accuracy are legit concerns, but wow does he make some incredible throws.
I'm happy either way - glad I don't have to make the pick if both guys are there.

This is a very good deal. Yes, we gave up 3 2nd rounders to move up 3 spots but it will absolutely be worth it if we land a franchise QB at 3.
There was going to be a lot of competition for that pick - especially from Buffalo, a division rival.
Jets moved early and struck a good deal. Keeping next year's first rounder was huge.
Yes, giving up the 2nd rounders hurts, but let's face it...we were most likely to blow them anyway.
Now we are guaranteed to get a QB. Let's hope the one we really want is there.

My Spidey sense is increasingly telling me Lamar Jackson - either with a trade down from 6 or a trade up from the 2nd round. No more punts on late 1st early 2nd round guys, I want a bonafide top 5 talent. I want Darnold - who we have next to no chance of getting - or Mayfield, who may be obtainable. But I have a hunch that Jackson is the guy we actually get.

Good deal. Glad we didn't pay $30M for McKinnon.

Well, he's better than Wesley Johnson. Middle of the pack really - strong pass-blocker, not so strong in the running game. Can also play Guard. A decent pickup, probably not too expensive.
