I found this interesting: It was almost a year ago today that Jets General Manager made his first major splash in his new post when he acquired wide receiver Brandon Marhshall from the Chicago Bears in what turned out to be one of the most lopsided deals in team history as Marshall posted monster numbers, pulling in 109 receptions for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns. Now this nugget of info from NFL insider Adam Schefter. Bears and Martellus Bennett's agent, Kennard McGuire, are working together to trade the tight end to an agreeable landing spot, per source. — Adam Schefter (@adamschefter) March 4, 2016 That alone is an interesting piece of information, made even more intriguing by the fact that ESPN.com’s Rich Cimini added his two cents. Same agent that orchestrated Brandon Marshall trade from Bears to Jets. t.co/XSsfcL5Spq — Rich Cimini (@richcimini) March 4, 2016 Bennett has 1 year left on his deal (6 million) and Mo Wilk is basically on a 1 year deal (I'm beginning to doubt he'll sign any extension that's not a close 2nd to Watt money). Bennett and we flip #1s (they get #20 and we get #11) and maybe get another 2nd-4th? Sounds like there's enough here to make a deal. We also free up 9 million for Fitz and Snacks. again, i have no idea why we'd have to be giving up our first to trade Mo. Bennett isn't going to fetch more then a 5th or 6th. if we trade Mo for Bennett and their 1st, they should be all about it.

maybe he can be one of the good ones and take a slight hometown discount. i know it's crazy in this day and age. I think that's a distinct possibility. Anyone knows that when you make a major move (let's say he ended up in Jacksonville or Tennessee or something) there are costs and transition pains involved. You need to find a new place to live, move your family, find new schools and friends, and even little shit like registering cars, setting up new services at your home, etc. If it came down to $5.75M from another team and $5.25M from the Jets I think he'd stay with the NYJ. That's a hometown discount in my book. i think this is part of the reason that Fitz will resign here and not command much money. i know that fitz loves where he lives in NJ now, his kids are involved in the community and i think he loves being the guy for the Jets. not saying he gets pennies, but a couple mil off the top might be possible.

i think Snacks legit loves being a Jet. he is so interactive with the fans on social media - we're the organization that gave him his shot in the NFL. i'd love to resign him.

why would we give up our first round pick as well as Mo?
Mo's a top 5 DE according to PFF all but 1 year he's been in the league. this guy is a great player. i get he's going to command a hefty contract, but when teams like Jacksonville have 90M to play with, I'd think they would consider giving up a first for a proven impact player like Mo instead of hoping for one in the draft.

I'm sorry but why wouldn't you care about the Pro Bowl? It's like the All-Star game in other sports, you get the BEST players in the league playing against each other! Do you really get the best? 133 players now "selected" to the pro bowl. players turning it down/players in the super bowl - just too many players involved.

Nope. I've got nothing. The Pro Bowl draft. Whoever thought up this idea is going straight to hell. i actually think it's a cool concept, but i'd rather watch friday night tykes on the esquire network then the pro bowl.

can't teach an old dog new tricks. same shit he did here. look for the phins to hire Idzik in a couple years to ruin their team even more but clear tons of cap space.

"At the end of ‘17, there will be no more FAN. That I promise." Wonder if he was talking about himself or the station. LMAO. did he actually say that?

I still don't understand how that Steroid fuck held onto the ball after Pryor damn near decapitated him Gronk: 6'6", 265 lbs. Pryor: 5'11", 207 lbs. i love Gronk. i'd trade our next 5 years worth of draft picks for him to be a jet. haha

Rex is coming off a big win. (betcha Rex had that one circled because the cowboys had the nerve to fire his homeless brother) 'cause you know, it's not about him and things. you think rex was mad about his brother getting fired 3 years ago?
