You have to be a strong person if you went to elementary school with the name "Dabney". It's too easy.

Silver was just the head of the snake in Manhattan. They were never going to let the Jets develop the Hudson yards. That said, I hope his death was awful. Queens has always been more realistic. I think Woody wants coming back to NY to be part of his legacy. He pipe dreamed too hard with the West Wide Stadium and then the recession hit so he had to get back into bed with the Giants. I dont know what the economics look like for getting out of MetLife. I doubt there would be a clean break. With the Bills getting public funding so easily I am sure the Jets have put out feelers. I saw one proposal would be to expand a soccer stadium from 30k seats to 80k. Sounds like a horrible idea that will build a new abomination. I loved the plans for the stadium on the rail yards. Funny, I was never a fan of the rail yards. Never. Think of all the logistics/vehicles/buses/deliveries associated with an average NFL game. Think about the Meadowlands on opening day? Vehicles as far as the eye can see, some parked a mile away in lots you never imagined would be used. Where are all these vehicles being stored? What about tail-gating? I dont think one can seriously underestimate how much part of the fandom culture that one element is. I dont think the train alone can reasonably handle the volume of people in and out especially post-game sans tailgating, but it would essentially be the only viable option to get there, eliminating many in the tri-state area who dont have a train option. The whole thing sounded pie in the sky to me, despite Sheldon Silver being a scumbag. Was just at Citifield for a game last week (friend had suite tix) and I still believe that area is perfect for a combo/soccer/football stadium. LIE, Grand Central, LIRR, 7 train. even a marina all there (as always). It's a no brainer, imho, if executed correctly. IF, lolz

Actually those calls were atrocious, IMO. Every keeper moves before the kick. Just like the kicker isn't supposed to stop or slow down, you have guys litterally doing 360's and cartwheels before the kick now. I just thought it was funny he was even further off the goal line during the second kick. It is also very possible I am the dolt.

Going to a concert at MetLife. I always drive. But some friends from out of town are staying in the city & want to know which is the better option, the train or the bus. Anybody taken the train or Coach USA bus to & from a concert at MetLife to the city? The train is great in theory, however the problem is NJ Transit does not add extra trains to coordinate with the Stadium shuttle train from Secaucus. After the event, the Stadium shuttle dumps people off in Secaucus, the platforms fill up and it gets hairy. You can be waiting a long time with a platform full of drunks for the next city bound train. The buses seem to be much better coordinated.

Fair enough. But when youre the Jets thats the chance you have to take since we cant draft/develop QBs. Here is what I will say, we had no future before Rodgers. No QB means no future. And worst case scenario we go back to sucking and draft the next worst QB of the past 10 years in 2025. So imo it was worth it. He will have the best defense he has ever played with. The OL has been fortified. We got some fucking thoroughbreds for him to hand the ball off to and make things easier for him. And if Corley can become Enunwa that will be more than enough to complement Garrett. Sopne is a huge FSU fan. He believes the Travis kid is going to be a star in the NFL. I've heard and read only good things about him. Hope our Dr.'s did their due diligence with his foot. That was a pretty nasty injury. That was the best group of fans at an away game that I have met so far. Nashville is quickly becoming Austin which quickly became Denver which quickly became LA. Enjoy it while it lasts. My buddy just fled Austin for SC after raising his kids there. Couldnt stomach the changes and saw no end in sight. Had another pal of mine go to Nashville for his birthday with his family. He's in a bar wearing a red hat that said "Make my birthday great again". Some lib chick came up behind him and cold-cocked him out of nowhere while making comments about his "Trump hat". He ended up with a shiner. Luckily the dumb b*tch got collared for assault.

Dude hasnt played in two years and has essentially rendered the HC to cheerleader status. Wish that wasnt my take, but it is. Namath called his own plays. I wish Saleh was more of a HC but he aint. At least he does well with his side of the ball. This team has had two respectable offensive seasons in my lifetime and what feels like a handful of historically bad ones. I will sacrifice a year and let Rodgers cook. Worst case scenario is we suck again. I dont disagree and have no choice but to sit back and watch. Just not feeling optimistic about Rodgers. Something very con-man-ish about him since he came here, like he smelled the organization/fanbase desperation and is riding it for all its worth. Hope I'm wrong (which is very possible). I really really hope I have to apologize for that take.

This makes me sad because I think we all knew this all along. Rodgers is a preening fraud who wont make it through this season. I agree with the tweet, but not your take. Rodgers wants to call his own game, and he should be able to at this point in his career. Let it ride. Dude hasnt played in two years and has essentially rendered the HC to cheerleader status. Wish that wasnt my take, but it is.

Ugh. Just spoke to sopne, his best friend is getting married that weekend. He's crushed. I'll have to go solo if I make it. Wifne gave the thumbs up so I have that going for me, which is nice.

Whoever is shooting that video, chick whips out her fun bags and they go behind her to keep filming. wtf I think it was to show the 78-ish woman at the forefront in Ireland who had no idea what she was getting into and now wont leave her home except for Mass and groceries. And when she kicks in a few months. If you want funbags, they are readily accessible on Shakin's FB page. Dude is a prevert.

To be fair, I've been told its a breath-taking, well-done tribute if you can past the circus outside. I took some students to Auschwitz in the summer of 2015 during the Pokemon Go craze...yep, people were putting/finding those stupid ass things IN THE CAMP. Total disrespect... I went on a student bus tour to Europe with college kids from all over the country around 1983-4. Two of the biggest nuts on the bus were lunatics from Boston. Hilarious, drunk all the time, no fucks given. (keep in mind there were also bunch of kids from California on the bus). Booze was cheap in Europe. As we're driving into Dachau there was dead silence on the bus. As we approach the gate the sound of a popping champagne cork from the back of the bus erupted, exactly the wrong thing to hear at this moment. Shrieks of "Wtf" eminated from many of the chicks who stood up howling as the rest of us, knowing these dicks, put our heads in our hands, crying larfing at the pure wrongness of it, knowing these fucking chowd alchies had no idea of how fucked up that was because they needed to be drunk to see the horrors before us. Half the bus was crying larfing, half the bus was crying in despair. I forgot alot of things but I will never forget that. Unless something drastic happened, I'd wager both of those dudes are dead now. Or are Cawps. RIHSB's, possibluh
