Losing Dunbar is disappointing but expected. Good thing Quinn's specialty is DL (assuming he becomes the head coach).

The Colts got whacked by the Pats earlier in the year. Maybe they'll come out pissed and surprise.

Gotta love Jet fans automatically predicting NE to win the AFC. Sup Zarathrustya... Unwilling to abide by the Hampurgatory rules, eh? I think this is the Dude, Semitroll, etc.

Not necessarily. Good coaches (like John Harbaugh, Tomlin, Carroll and Coughlin) can win a Super Bowl with very good-great quarterbacks. You also need a good coach (or coaches) to properly develop the quarterback. Only once in a generation type prospects need little to no development and be successful.
Mediocre coaches (like Smith and Turner) can only ride their quarterbacks for so long until it catches up with them.

Typical S.O.J.F. thinking. What makes you so confident that NE is going to the Super Bowl? Because the Colts are mediocre and absolutely no match for NE, and Peyton "Duck Hunter" Forehead is a playoff choker. There's next to zero chance that NE doesn't end up in the Superbowl. Also, how the fuck is thinking another team will go to the Superbowl "SOJF logic"? Like, do you even hear how stupid sounds? Maybe you lot should pick a new buzzword, because throwing around 'SOJF' at the drop of a hat has completely striped it of any meaning. That's how dilution works, just fyi. Don't feed the troll.

I will admit, these positive tweets have me optimistic about Maccagnan.

I would be ok with Maccagnan, though it concerns me that no other team appears interested.

I wouldn't mind Trestman as an OC. He was over his head as a head coach.
And if he got the job in Tampa, that would be a little funny. He would be working for the guy he replaced in Chicago.

Well, we won't need to worry about their draft. They won't have any picks left. I'm not too sure of that. When Tannenbaum worked with Mangini and the focus was to build through the draft, he was not that bad. Players like D'brick, Mangold, Cotchery, Revis, Brad Smith, Harris, and Greene were, and in some cases still pretty good players. It wasn't until Woody created the circus that Tannenbaum's drafts became suspect Excluding 2006, I don't think this is true. Tanny was just an overly aggressive GM. We traded up in 2007 to get Revis and Harris and were tied for the fewest selections. In 2008, we traded up to get Dustin Keller and didn't draft again until the 4th round. Cotchery was under Bradway BTW.

If quinn does become our next HC, iam really curious who he will bring on board with him? Iam wondering with him being new in the HC game will he beable to surround himself with good quality coaches? Like how Marrone would beable to do if he was hired.Ijust wish they hurry the hell up FA and the draft is quickly approching us.. This may seem off the wall but I think that if Quinn is hired, Charlie Weis could potentially come back to the Jets for a number of reasons. 1. When Quinn was the DC at Florida, Weis was the OC. 2. Weis is currently unemployed after being fired as the HC of Kansas. 3. Jersey connection. Weis was an assistant coach for Morristown in the 80s. 4. Experience. Weis has been in the NFL for a long time and has head coaching experience. His experience could benefit the whole staff. Some may think Weis is over the hill and done, but let's not forget he helped Matt freaking Cassel throw 27 TDs and only 5 interceptions in 2010. As far as a DC, I think Kris Richards, the current DB coach for the Seahawks would be a smart hire. He's been with the Seahawks since 2010 and has supported the developed of their impressive secondary. Sherman recently vouched for him as well.
