Saw it on Facebook; non-sports types were apoplectic; one woman said today, creepers are everywhere; and that's why the backlash. I saw "F Kobe" a few times because that Tweet made it to facebook |

I have to say though. If that was a Fox News host they would never get the benefit of the doubt that woman is getting. And I do enjoy the irony of someone who looks like a textbook 2020 progressive woman being involved in something like this. This is true. I am conservative but I also call things as I see them. Seeing MSNBC take a beating for this would be enjoyable. But my honest opinion is that she didn’t say it. My honest opinion is also that you guys are demented. |

I get it, you have an opinion.. and I rant. On a campus you would be swatting signs, knocking hats off and shutting down rallies because views that dont align with yours are abhorrent and must be stopped. Here's an idea, instead of mocking me, tell us if you think this woman (who works for a network I have little respect for) is a racist who must be fired/punished, fed to the mob. I'm truly interested in your opinion and would entertain your thoughts seriously. I'm guessing..."Calm down shemp" pops into your brain instead. We've danced before. I think this woman had a slip of the tongue and any discussion of this is assinine. I have long ago lost my comprehension of modern day society where this even "a thing." BTW...if you've seriously come to the conclusion that "because views that don't align with yours are abhorrent and must be stopped" you've seriously mis-read me. While I have my disagreements with people I'll never call for anyone to be silenced...or else I risk being silenced. People with different life experiences some to different conclusions. it would be crazy to think we would all agree on everything. The weird thing is most of us would agree on 85% of things. So yeah I don't rant. I don't see the purpose. But rant on if it works for you. That wasnt me...I was hacked. |

If you’re waiting for clearance to land, you don’t fly at 185mph if you’re a helicopter. I was thinking the same thing - 185 is probably about top speed for a helicopter. What on earth was it doing flying top speed at low altitude in the fog on visual flight rules. It beggars belief. I know planes can get into a graveyard spiral without spatial awareness, where the pilot keeps pulling the turn sharper and sharper and the plane goes faster and is posting 'up" but all while losing lift. I wonder if there is something similar in choppers. Yeah 185 is about max speed for a S-76. No way should have been at cruising speed if he was in trouble. Fixed wing aircraft can stall/spin, the death spiral, and is often fatal but I don’t know if helicopters have that problem. Also, sometimes pilots suffer from “gotta-get-there-itis” and take off in conditions they know they shouldn’t and get in to trouble. |

I saw a post yesterday on another board and they wrote something like ‘seemed like an all around good guy. So sad!’ and I almost replied “pretty sure he raped someone and was married at the time” but I didn’t. Can’t image the backlash I would have got for the truth. |
