I like the trade. 1st round pick is likely a late 1, and guys sometimes take such a long time to get to the NHL and we need to go for it now. I assume Palmieri will replace Leo on the first line. Nice to have a team that is in win now mode. Zajac also had to waive his no trade clause. Nice to be wanted for a change. LFG!!! |

Does Zajac slot in to the lineup right away or taxi squad? I think he gets right into the lineup. He is a solid defensive forward who should fit in well in Trotz system. I would rather see him out there than MDC, Bellows, or Leo. We have 5 centers now. Barzal will stay on the top line, I would expect the 4th line to stay together, so which one of Pageau, Zajac or Nelson move to the wing. |

Nice to have a team that is in win now mode. We're all in to win right now with these trades and Lou was smart enough to know that a couple of forwards could help us get there. We're fine on the blueline, fine in net, but I think we all agree we were missing a couple of better forwards from going all the way. |

Gut feeling tells me it Zajac because our offense down the middle has been solid all year. |

Got better than we deserved tonight. Terrible effort from the 5 minute major to the last pp in OT. But 2 more points and alone in first place.

Sorokin is the real deal....gave up one of the flukiest goals I've ever seen and was rock solid the rest of the way. I honestly can't remember the last time he gave up a goal in the SO. Also not good scratching Wahlstrom unless he was a little banged up. I can think of more than a few players that should hit the pressbox before Wahlstrom. Bailey being one of them. |

I can’t fathom how the PP is that awful. Do they even practice it? There’s no urgency, and everything is way too deliberate. At this point, they should just do the opposite of whatever they practice.

Hope they can keep it up. First place. Isles don’t handle success very well, and they always seem to back out of first place quickly.

PP was pretty good to start the season. Not sure what happened, but there is no movement. They can't control the puck int eh offensive zone. The Flyers had about 3 odd man rushes during the 5 min power play in the first. And I think they had another one in the OT. Maybe next game we should just decline the penalty. |
