Also kinda odd that multiple killers used the same area to dump bodies, no? I’d have to think the killers knew/know each other, right?

IIRC they won’t release the 911 call, either.

Not a huge shock. Suffolk was a very corrupt place when this all started, with the Chief of Police (James Burke), Ex-District Attorney Thomas Spota and Christopher McPartland, the former chief of an anti-corruption bureau, jailed for five years for another scandal. Burke kept the FBI out of the Gilgo investigation and limited the role of the State all because he had so much to hide himself. In the end, the new Chief, Ex-NYPD Chief Harrison, brought the state and FBI into the investigative task-force which helped break the case finally.

I left Long Island (West Islip) in 95 so much of this i know through internet and conversations with WI neighbors. GOOD friend of ours, a doc, was mentioned as a suspect back in mid 2010 or so along with 3-4 other names in Newsday. It pisses me off to no extent that this good man was tarnished for no good reason. He lives on FI and IMO was a good family man. As the saying goes… will SCPD print something stating he is a good man? so I’m happy we have the perp but 3 to 4 innocent people were ruined in this process.

This guy only accounts for 3-4 of the bodies. Still possibly a killer or two out there for the 6 or 7 more. Your friend may not be off the hook.

there's probably more bodies out there than they've found. this ordeal all started while i was still in the seaford FD... we sent our ladder truck out there, parked it on the side of the ocean parkway, extended the stick and put a guy on the end of it, and slowly swept back and forth so he could look down into the tallgrass for bodies, evidence, etc. that shit was thick, and went on for miles
it was fucked up but it beat transporting some wheezing fat slob to mid-island medical center for the 5th time in 3 months

Must have been a special kind of hell growing up in that house.
