First I knew of the cross-dressing angle. And he was looking to blow a dude. Thinkin' now, he met Suffolk County Spota in the late 70's early 80's as a teen. Burkes friends killed another kid (John Pius) and Burke ended up testifying against them even as he was a known drug user/dealer/Burglar. Thinkin now Spota, then a mere D.A., got sexually involved with Burke back then...hence Burke's rise through the SCPD as Spota ascended to D.A. They both ended up in prison.

Suffolk is likely to go Republican in this next election. The likely winner wont retain Harrison (as per the front-runner Romaine). Thinkin’ Rodney is gettin while the gettins good, prolly has book deals, Corporate job hooked up. He likes Bourbon, cigars, golf and wimmenz. Now he can indulge, sans scrutiny, and make a shit ton of dough. Win win. Nothing to do with Gilgo.

Well, the Republican, Ed Romaine, won the Suffolk county executive yesterday. He was endorsed by the Suffolk County Police who are not fans of Rodney Harrison. Ironically, the mandate to solve the Gilgo case also meant shaking up the lethargic, somewhat politically corrupt PD, which, as we all came to find out, was way too beholding to the Politicians and not held to any sort of professional standards. This was bound to put the panties of the Unions in a twist as Rodney was viewed as an outsider. Hence, Romaine making a deal with the Unions Harrison would be gone if they endorsed him. And here we are. Have no idea what the mandate of the new P.C. will be, but its going to be hard to make the Unions happy while hauling the PD out of the Stone-aged culture that allowed the Gilgo cover-up to happen.

Aaaand to Rodneys credit, he could have just stayed and forced the new guy to fire the first minority Suffolk P.C. who just solved the most notorious serial killer case in its history. "I wanted to being in my own guy/gal" would have sounded pretty hollow coming from a Republican firing a black guy. Rodney could have played the card...but he gets the game, and knew he'd have other opportunities elsewhere. No way he's topping the Gilgo case on his resume.
