Kind of blows the whole narrative of what the Trump administration was planning to do was "hypothetical'. No, what you and many others are engaging in is hypothetical. HYPOTHETICALLY if Trump was president, he would do x,y, or z. Do you understand? I don't want to type this out again but I will. It's like if I said "If I am your mod in the Hampur, Ill give everyone $1000." But someone else becomes a mod. Then if people started saying "well if nyjetsfan11 was mod, we'd all have $1000! Look he said it right here." Do you see how you'd be engaging in a hypothetical universe? Where, hypothetically, if I were mod (president), I'd give out $1000. This is no different. Say what? Make this fvcker a mod! I want $1000!!! I will make u a mod for 1000 bro. Send me a deposit I WILL find the fuckin mod tools and make it happen

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word hypothetical. Do you think the Trump administration had a fluid handshake verbal agreement in place to leave Afghanistan? Or did they have a detailed plan on how we would exit that country? Because the links above show the latter, which would throw hypotheticals out the window that you keep insisting on. We're at a point right now where a 10 year old would have pulled off better exit of Afghanistan. We might be looking at the greatest hostage situation in the history of this country and Biden said he wouldn't do anything different. Let's try it this way. We can break out our dictionaries. The definition of a "hypothetical" is something imagined but not true. Since Trump is not president, you have to start any statement with what he would do with "IF" he were president. "IF," meaning it is an imaginary exercise. He is not president, so we must IMAGINE if he were, what he would do, because it's not REALITY. This is a textbook example of a hypothetical. HYPOTHETICALLY IF trump were president, he would do x,y, or z. It has nothing to do with how detailed the plan is or how concrete it was, it has to do with talking about what trump would do IF he were president. Even if we say 100% Trump would have done it, we can ONLY talk about it in the hypothetical because its not reality. I hope this clarifies.

The definition of "hypothetical" is not something imagined but not true. The closest to your definition is "hypothetical" is something imagined but not necessarily true. It is conjecture based on hypothesis. There are 2 reasons to speak hypothetically in this instance. 1 is to point out that we think Biden is a nightmare and pose a logical hypothetical conjecture based on what we know of other past Presidents or candidates actions or statements regarding similar circumstances. 2 is to help people understand that all of the hypothetical bullshit they were fed against Trump and in favor of Biden is what got us exactly where we are today. It is also kind of the idea behind a bunch of idiots talking on a message board. All of our opinions here on football and politics are hypothetical and the only reason to point that out in a condescending manner is to try and silence, insult or condemn other's opinions. TL;DR: If we don't discuss hypotheticals here how are we going to save the world and get the Jets to the Super Bowl?

Biggest mistake was thinking Afghans would actually fight for their country. Instead they rolled over, like the French.

I definitely don't want to silence anyone, it's just more interesting, for me at least, to analyze where we are now, come up with solutions, and advocate for them. For me, talking about what Sanders, Trump, Cruz, Gabbard, etc. would have done if they were president feels like its looking backward as a "well if my candidate had won, this wouldn't be happening." I get it's a message board full of hypotheticals, I guess I could ask what people here would like to see happen instead of engaging in what-could-have-beens. Hypothetically though, what if the Jets never existed, wouldn't all our lives be just that much less stressful?

I'm mixed on this. It's not our country. I feel like the afghani people have to choose their leaders for themselves by their own means. Any government installed externally, I don't think, will be embraced by the people, and I don't think this is an Afghan specific issue. Then it becomes a question of how they can fight back, and if funding their anti--taliban orgs is productive or worth it. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Leaving Americans, Brits other allies as well as the Afghans who worked at the US Embassy, the US military and NGOs for the Taliban, ISIS and Al Qaeda is an act a betrayal and cowardness. That's not hypothetical and it's on Biden and his advisors.

So how does this end? When you pull the airport/runway security what's gonna stop the people from flooding the runway again? Do we see C17s plowing thru the crowds? Do we see C130 gunships shooting folks on the runway? Did we bribe the Taliban to provide protection? I mean it's fucked up now but it can get a whole lot worse.
