OK, But we will run out of fuel so your generator may be for shit after a while. I am loading up on canned foods, meats, etc. I will have 2-3 cases of bottled water. Gallon jugs of water. I believe we need a supply of food that does NOT need to be cooked or refrigerated. What does this mean??? I have daily MREs and 2k calls daily? As long as I have natural gas I have power. I bought 2 packages of meals @ 2000 cals per day. Plus the rest of what I bought and continue to buy. MREs may not be great but you can survive on them for sure. The natural gas supply will be shut off. If you have a back yard tank, they will rob it. We need food sources that do not need to be cooked. IMO.

Stock up on sprouting seeds. They’re cheap, store well, and simple to grow. Very nutritious as well. You just soak them for a few hours, rinse them daily, and in 5-7 days you’ve got greens to accompany whatever else you have put up. Wifne and I are doing an actual garden this spring. I intend to grow year round here in NC. Something edible grows all year. We did 15 raised beds last spring and got a pretty good yield. Looking to expand a bit more this year.

Looking to expand a bit more this year. We plan on a big one. 35 by 20. Due to the amount of deer, I need to completely fence it in. Top as well as sides. A friend of mine is in the dirt business and will provide screen soil when I need it.

I don't have to worry about deer but last years dry summer took a toll on my garden even with irrigation.

I have a place out here called Soilutions that would fill my truck bed for $35 with top grade soil that they composted. After almost 9 years the only thing I amend that soil with is a few bags of wormshit and maybe some mushroom compost.

When I bought my AR last year. I bought 10 40-round Magpule magazines. They are great and I have a stocked and loaded 401 rounds ready to go. The two mags that came with the gun are loaded with .223 vermin rounds, mainly for home defense. No need to potentially kill a neighbor while using it for self defense.

I have four kids and while 3/4 of them are actually brilliant in school, they're all idiots. I could buy a safe/gun lockup, whatever. One of them is so stupidly smart that he could break into it, easily. So it's a matter of hiding it. But then we run into the "where is my birthday/Christmas/Easter present" and they always fucking find them. Yes, want to protect the family for the impending shit that will eventually come, but I have no doubt that the smartest one will find it and play William Tell with a friend. Am I a bad parent?

If you had a gun you could threaten to shoot them if they look for it or their presents
