inspired by the other thread Not that I ever owned any good ones, but its always fun to talk about. My first ride, a 77 VW Scirocco www.motorbase.com/uploads/2006/10/09/fs_77new.jpgTotal pos that would stall out whenever you drive through a puddle in the rain...but it was fun for the 8 months I owned it. |

Not my pics but these are the ones I had 1st car ~$1600  2nd car $450 (needed transportation in the military. Lasted 2 years and I sold it for $950) ![]() 3rd car $2200, still have it 20 years later. It was painted dark green before I got it but this was the original color  |

 First car, hand-me-down. 1979 Mazda GLC wagon. It's fcking DRUM brakes all around. An utter, rickety death trap. But I could leave it under 1' of snow for a month then pop in and it would start with the first turn of the key. Got stuck on the edge of a lake once, in mud. So I tied TWINE through the grill to try and ease it out with friends truck - and ripped the entire front of the Mazda off. It looked like Kane's chest from ALIEN when the thing pops out - just shredded . .. |

78 Buick Regal, yellow. Vinyl half top, just like this one. Had lots of sexy time in that baby.  The vinyl top came almost completely detached crusing down the highway one day. All floppin around in the wind and shit until I got home. Ripped it off entirely, Bondo'd and sanded the roof, and spray painted the fucker Rustoleum flat black. Called the car "The Killer Bee" from then on. |
