That fucking sucks, out of nowhere. Feel terrible for him. Really hope he can recover...that's just shitty. This franchise just can't catch a break.

It is only June 1 and it seems like this Mets thread is on life support. I know May was a depressing follow up to that great April, but there is still a lot of baseball to be played. Not thrilled with Terry's plans for a 6 man rotation, but we will see how that works out starting this week.
By the way, if anyone from the Chicago/Wisconsin area is interested in catching the Mets in Milwaukee later this month -- I was at Miller Park this weekend and they gave out coupon books which included a discount code for the Mets series. Send me a PM and I will send you the code for 50% off all seats -- except infield box and all inclusive areas.

It was a rough month with the losses, general lack of offense and the news on the injury front but we got out of it 13-15 and tied for first in the division - really not bad. Still the most optimistic about a Mets team I've been in a while, love the starting pitching and Familia has come through clutch as the closer so far. Bullpen is still worrisome and we really really need some help on offense though, Wright and d'Ardnaud can't come back soon enough.

Nice start to June. Missed the game last night (hate these West Coast trips), but it sounds like DeGrom was dominant, 4 hits for Murphy and a 3 hit night for Tejada. Where did Tejada find this bat all of a sudden. Back into a first place tie with the Nats.
Hopefully d'Arnaud resumes his rehab this week, but I am not expecting Wright back anytime soon.

Not a bad 24 hours for the Mets.
Big comeback win against the Braves yesterday and now good news on David Wright today:

Big win yesterday now we need Harvey to do what he is supposed to do and extend this winning streak.

Lol when our pitchers are our best hitters.
Matz killed it in his debut though - 7.2 with 2 ER, 3-3 with 4 RBI, first MLB pitcher ever with 4 RBI in their debut, first Met pitcher to go 3-3 in their debut since Dwight Gooden.

Somehow we need to get an impact bat without giving up syndy or matz. Next year Harvey, Degrom, Syndergard,Matz, Wheeler will be the best pitching staff in baseball. Trade for someone this year that can help by giving up Niese, Nimmo, if montero was healthy he would be a nice trade chip, gee anyone not named conforto.

Discussion I heard on the radio yesterday -- was Matz performance on Sunday the best Mets performance at Citi Field. At first, I thought it was crazy, but Long Island kid, major league debut, working into the 8th inning, 3-3 at the plate with 4 RBIs. Only other game I could think of would be Santana's no-no.
