Another great pitching performance wasted yesterday -- only good to come out of it is Niese has looked sharp his last few outings which should increase his trade value. Maybe Sandy can move him now, before his next start.
And, Can we please get at least one win this season against the Cubs. Especially for those of us living among the Cub fans here in Chicago.

So, now it looks like Matz has a "minor" injury. This team cannot catch a break.

Fuck this season, first time in years I'm this invested in the Mets and its a nightmare of a roller coaster ride. Luckily we have a million pitchers, hopefully Matz gets back soon. Swear half this team is still injured...whatever happened to Belvins?

Thats old news. More Madoff nonsense. They thought it would be better to pay 1 mil a year for 25 years than to pay 5 mil upfront

I had the St. Louis feed for that one. And the national ESPN broadcast last night -- 3 hour love fest for Bryce Harper. The guy didn't even get a hit last night and they would not shut up about him throughout the whole fucking game. Made him sound like he is Willie Mays, Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb all wrapped up in one.

The Michael Conforto era has begun. Cuddyer to the DL and Conforto called up.

These are the Mets. He could, get in an accident in his cab from the airport. Kind of like Doaner Sanchez a few years back. Or Terry could just have him ride the bench because he wants John Mayberry's bat in the lineup.

Luckily he's actually in the lineup tonight, plus it sounds like we actually pulled off a trade for some actual offense. Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson for Gant and Whalen, pitching prospects (which we have plenty of).

Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson for Gant and Whalen, pitching prospects (which we have plenty of). Both guys play a few different positions, really gives us some flexibility and adds depth to the bench. I think Uribe is a better fit for Citi Field -- he will hit line drives, gappers and the occasional long ball. Kelly Johnson will probably hit about .220 -- has some pop, but I am afraid Citi Field will take his power away from him. Didn't give up much and we needed some legit MLBers in the lineup, so I can't really complain too much, but we still need an outfield bat (unless Conforto turns out to be the real deal and is ready now).

1 game out fellas! Thor was dominant tonight. Now if we can add a big bat before Fri. we'll be in a good position for the Nats series.
Again, I still think Upton may stay in NY when the Padres leave town.

Again, I still think Upton may stay in NY when the Padres leave town. Team seems to be firing all on cylinders again, even Wright is expected back in AAA within a week. Only concern with Upton is their asking price - they were asking Wheeler and his full contract for basically two months of play.
