How many of you fucks been to south fucking carolina? I lived in the south the black people are routinely fucked with 100 times more then whites, I should know They worked for me along with the preppy rich college fucks who i never once had to bail out on a felony trafficking charge, the few that did get busted went to drug court on a misdemeanor and rehab usually manatee glens or the salvation army viper program sarasota, the black guys of course went to port manatee then desoto annex. Its most certainly a racist fucking shooting this isn't up north I have to disagree on it being racist. I lived in Mississippi and Oklahoma. I know the south and I don't think that played into it at all. Watch the dash came. The cop was by the book and respectful until the dumb ass ran. doesn't justify the shooting. It was wrong but not racially motivated. |

Lots of words exhausted here trying to explain away at least some of the officer's conduct yet there is plenty of tacit consent around the idea that the victim was just dumb for running. The officer is clearly getting held to a lesser standard here. If the officer's conduct can be partly explained by fear then why can't the victim's? Maybe the officer said things that made the victim fear for his life and running was a better option than sitting in the car. We don't know what went through his head. We can certainly extrapolate explanations out of what we don't know for either side. Maybe it's my dirty liberal mind but if we're cutting somebody a break for being panicked I am going to cut in favor of the guy who got shot in the back. Why can't it be both of them at fault which is what I believe happened. |

I think both panicked, but we have to hold the cop to a hire standard. Not a lot more that I can add. I also feel it will end up being a manslaughter conviction.
As I understand the SCOTUS has spoken and said you (Police) can not fire on a fleeing suspect unless you can articulate a gave threat to you are the public's safety. One of the things in the cell video that bothered me was I did not hear the cop shout/command after he drew his sidearm, halt/stop, or I will shoot... What ever, not sure that it would matter in any sense one way or the other.
It just occurs to me with out the threat of being shot, why would the common criminal (not W Scott necessarily) not always choose to run given a chance or choice? Seems not having the ability to shoot a fleeing suspect weakens police authority. At the end of the day I don't think you should be able to shoot non violent fleeing suspects, just thinking things through a bit.

Some of them are bigger pieces of shit then the criminals. You think a cop or fbi agent never threatened my life , not as far shooting me in broad daylight. But making sure i get sent to the wrong block, or lying their asses off in court. That's right it happens. It might be rare but it happens and this fucking cocksucker is one of the bad guys, now he's got to see how bad he is without that fucking badge. And don't worry PC cradling in lockup wont last forever , there is always a blind eye and a hand out in Prison. Thats another fact. Go back and read that spineless piece of shits story before he knew it was on video. He's fucked and i would love 3 minutes in a cell with him, fortunately two hundred thousand cons feel the same way. Then he will onow what PANICKING really is. There are ethical, honest people here and they are projecting their own values onto this piece of scum and imaginining that he behaved the way they believe they would have in the same situation. Totally undeserving of this benefit of the doubt but that's what good people do. That is always what these cases devolve into - what could possibly have led the "LEO" to have acted the way, inventing reasons for him when no evidence suggests it, and blaming the victim. Never mind that he didn't order him to stop or he'd shoot, (despite having no reason to do so), why even chase him? He had the guy's driver's license, AND CAR! What is worse than the cold blooded execution and is not getting any attention is the immediate, before it was even over, steps the guy took to cover it up. |
