And an aside, I'm still not a fan of the playoff format. For the conference finals, there's no way division rivals can play each other. The only thing that bothers me about the playoffs (aside from the fact that we haven't been in them enough) is the imbalance between the East & West. By having 16 teams in the East and only 14 in the West, you are giving the Western Conference teams a better chance to make the playoffs, and by extension they have a better chance to win the Cup. The conferences needed to be balanced. Difference # of teams in each conference is not fair.

What'd y'all think the markup is at the pro shop at the coliseum for Isles jerseys? IIRC, its about $250 for a jersey with player/number. They sell the authentic jersey blank and then you pay for the lettering.
There's no real reason to get it at the Coli - perhaps try it on there to see if/how it fits. But you can get an authentic jersey from the website and you don't have to wait for it.

One of the many things that was great from last night is the secondary scoring. Having guys like Kulemin, Lee and Nielsen score just makes the Isles that much more dangerous.
Boychuk was exactly what we thought/hoped we were getting. A solid - not flashy - defensemen who does the right thing with the puck and is sound, positionally. And as someone said, a beautiful thing to see him dump Nash like that.
I didn't mind seeing the after-the-horn activity. Make no mistake - the Isles were mostly responsible for it (Hamonic started it and Cal C. carried it on) but so what? This is Isles/Rags - they aren't supposed to like each other. I'd rather this team foster that chippy style of play. If Dan Boyle doesn't like it? Eh, retire then, my friend.
The Rags may be too soft for playoff hockey. They weren't particularly tough last year but they still had Dorsett and Carcillo. They brought on Tanner Glass to replace that toughness but they quickly realized how bad of a hockey player he is. But that's their only real option when it comes to grit. You can say they have Kreider, but he's only really good at running goalies.

JerseyCaptain.eu www.jerseycaptain.eu/New-York-Islanders-Jerseys-s440.html$30 for Islander jerseys. My son got me a Bossy jersey from this site for Christmas -- and it pains me to admit, but I bought a Lundquist for my wife last year during the Rags Cup run.

Haven't seen the Bossy yet -- I will be picking it up from my son in a couple of weeks, but the Lundqvist jersey I got for my wife looks great (as good as a Ranger jersey can look I guess).

legit site? jersey $30, shipping $29. my credit card info wont wind up in Pakistan with someone charging first class tickets to Borneau? It is an Asian site -- so I guess it depends upon your definition of legit. First time I used the site I made sure to use a credit card that I barely ever use -- so I would know quickly if it appeared to be compromised. I have ordered from them two or three times and never had a problem. I usually try to buy a couple of jerseys to minimize shipping costs.
As with any of these sites, buyer beware -- Lithfan will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, fraud or first class tickets to Borneo or any other 3rd world country.

I was just about to order a #29 and noticed the shipping and handling. It's still a steal if the jerseys are of high quality.....I'll let you guys be the guinea pigs and if all works out, expect a #29 #18 coming this way. On my obscure CC that I haven't used in about a decade.

On my obscure CC that I haven't used in about a decade. Funny story - I use a shady site similar to that one where you communicate with someone who barely speaks English ("This is your dear friend Joy"). Jerseys are $35 but they ding you for shipping, but all and all, you get a high quality jersey for a very reasonable price (it feels totally authentic - my friend's "C" in McDonough was capitalized but otherwise everything was top notch). And because shipping is so pricey, its always best to order a bunch, so we always bundle them. Also, the 10th jersey is free.
So I pass the site to my buddy in SF. He's skeptical as he's talking to the woman and he has to set up a Western Union payment because not only are credit cards no good, but they can't even use paypal anymore. So after this long back and forth and the order finally goes through and he waits for 2 weeks, he gets a an email from border patrol. A long 10+ paragraph email about how his package has been flagged for counterfeiting and if he believes its in error he needs to come down to CBP to dispute it, etc. etc.
The site actually sent him replacements with him just paying shipping (and he was happy with them), but I think I'm out of the counterfeit jersey game. Don't need that stuff weighing on me.

Halak named to All Star Game as injury replacement for Jimmy Howard. Feel good for Jaro, first career All Star appearance.
