Just finished watching - what a fuckin game! Damn was i disappointed after 2 goals on 2 PPs. Way to stick with it and keep battling. Battle level! LOL.
Got tix for mondays game for $120. Just checked stub hub, and now theyre $165. Sweet! Hope no letdown on Monday vs the not so good Flyers.

Stanley Cup is within reach. This is the best team in hockey right now. What they have done so far this season is great and I am really enjoying the ride, but I still think they need to fix the PK before I can start talking about the Cup. We have taken the 3rd fewest penalties in the league so far, which is what has minimized the impact of the PK, but penalties are usually up in the playoffs. Gonna have to be better on the PK to make noise in the playoffs. |

I know its Monday Morning quarterbacking, but I might have started Johnson last night. In fact I think that was originally the plan but Halak asked to play?
Last night was the game I expected a let down in after two big emotional wins over the Rangers and Penguins.
Oh well, come back and beat Philly, and then rest up.

I agree with you -- especially since Montreal had their back up going, would have been a perfect spot for Johnson. Hopefully they get going again tomorrow against the Flyers - when they lose this season, they have had a tendency to lose two or three straight. A win would tomorrow would mean we head into the break in first place (assuming Rangers hold on to their 3 goal lead against Pitt). |

Kind of an ugly win. Played well offensively, but poorly in our own end. 3rd time this month that Halak has misplayed a puck behind the net and given up an easy goal. Happy for Halak that he is going to Columbus, but I would would really have liked him to get a real week's break.
First place at the All Star break. Sounds pretty damn good.

I thought we were sloppy in our own end -- DeHaan and Halak turnovers led to two easy Philly goals -- bad PK again when the goal was scored in the 2nd. On the other hand, I really liked the way they answered every Flyer goal today -- just kept attacking and keeping the lead at 3 most of the 3rd. I also loved the way Martin and Clutter responded with multiple huge hits in the 3rd to retake momentum after the Flyers 3rd goal. And I agree -- on to the senior bowl. Now is when the draft season begins for real. Hopefully we can get enough folks to do another mock this year. |
