"Hey hon, we're going out for Valentine's Day!" "great! Where?" "To the Isles game!" LOL. She didn't complain because she knew there was a zero percent chance of going out otherwise. LOL. Its the Isles game or nothing!

"Hey hon, we're going out for Valentine's Day!" "great! Where?" "To the Isles game!" Nothing says romance like the Nassau Coliseum. Your food options range from the dirty water dog to the chicken finger. You are bound to have your body pressed up against someone else. Unfortunately its when you have to go to the bathroom between periods.
The good news (for some anyway) is that you can celebrate with a white powdery substance. The bad news is that substance is asbestos.

LOLz, the food options are pretty bad. Hamburger. Can I get anything on it? There's ketchup and mustard over there. No pickles? Lettuce? Tomato? No. seats are clean, but floor is sticky.

LOL. I think a pregame meal at Vincent's will more than hold us over.

Halak only plays one period in the game todY, right? Thats what I would expect. 3 goalies each gets one period. At least he survived the Skills Competition unscathed -- if memory serves, I believe that's when DP got hurt several years back.

I don't remember exactly, but it was at the all star game. halak actually played real well in the skills competition. Was one of the best in the shootout.

2goals for JT so far, half way thru the second. Watched maybe 2 or 3 minutes of the 2nd period. Got bored and turned it off. Not real hockey -- just can't sit through any more of this game. As long as Halak and JT come through unhurt thats all that I care about.

So my boy was called up to the 'big' leagues after his hockey practice this morning. His first real game. The team he played on was a couple kids short. He had 0G 1A, and was a -3. Scored on his own team, too, on a pass across the crease... LOL. Their own goalie wasn't too good. Allowed 6 goals on about 14 shots... Otherwise, th e boy skated and stick handled just as good as the older kids, and played well for never having played or practiced with those guys.
So I ask him after the game if he'd play again if they're short some players, and he goes 'yeah, as long as I don't have to play on the blue team. Their goalie sucks'. LOL.

I think every kid put one in his own net -- I know it happened to my son once or twice. He played for about 8 years until he graduated High School. When he was a senior, we didn't have enough D-men on the team and the coach moved him to D after never playing it before. He stunk up the joint that first game, until he had one opportunity to go end-to-end and scored an unassisted goal that turned out to be the game winner. The highlight of his career as a D-man. Rest of the season it was a failed experiment and he was eventually moved back to RW where he belonged. Now his gear just gathers dust and stinks up my basement. Enjoy it -- I had a blast watching him play.
