Good news. Strait played well in his absence, but I still feel a lot better with Viz back there. At some point, Cappy has got to give CJ a start. I would like to see him get one start out of every 4 or 5 games to keep Halak fresh.

legit site? jersey $30, shipping $29. my credit card info wont wind up in Pakistan with someone charging first class tickets to Borneau? Hopefully you haven't ordered from the site. Like I mentioned earlier in the month, I have ordered from them several times in the past without a problem. My son ordered a jersey for me before Christmas and has not received it yet -- over a month later. He is going to try to track it down, but we may be SOL. Always knew there is a risk with these sites.

I would like to see him get one start out of every 4 or 5 games to keep Halak fresh. Strait has played well but I still think Reinhart should never have been sent down. If he stayed with the team, he would have ended up playing 75% of the games as we have rarely, if ever, had our full complement of dmen healthy. So he would have gotten sheltered 3rd pairing ice time and his experience to date would be NHL experience not AHL experience. And who knows? If he played well and we had an injury we he very well could be playing for us in the playoffs. We know he'll be up here next year. What would we rather have? A guy with 10 games in the NHL starting for us next year or a guy with 50? Its the difference between hitting the ground running and basically starting afresh. And its not just the on the ice issues. Part of being in the big time is getting used to the off ice stuff as well. Even if he was scratched at times, it would still benefit him to skate with the team and travel with them.
If he was never going to play, I would be all for him playing 1st line minutes in BP. But Vis is made of glass. And while Strait has been OK, its not like the level of play with Reinhart would really drop. He was coming in to his own in his few games with the big club.
I fully understand letting the guy develop in BP so this isn't really a criticism. I just would have approached it differently.

I missed todays game and in hindsight I'm glad. Looks like another abysmal effort by Johnson and our PK. Hopefully Garth is looking for an upgrade at B/U before the trade deadline because that is our Achilles heal.

Hopefully Garth is looking for an upgrade at B/U before the trade deadline because that is our Achilles heal. I also missed the game -- flew into Phoenix this afternoon for the game tomorrow. I agree on Johnson -- we need to find a suitable back up otherwise Halak is going to wind up playing about 65 games before the playoffs even start. We need a guy we can count on for at least one start a week so as not to overuse Jaro. Get it done Garth.

Saw the first period, not much effort, really. Recorded the second and third, but saw a score with 3 to go, so I didn't watch any.
First 2 Detroit goals were perfect shots, not much CJ could do. Defense has to play better, and PK absolutely has to get better. Less than 50% last 7 games.

Just saw that Tampa placed Nabakov on waivers -- can he be that guy to go once a week and give us a better chance to win than CJ?

On the bright side, Washington, Montreal, and Pitt all lost yesterday.

Also hasn't decided on defense. Few guys banged up.

Wow. Isles looked like the team playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and starting their backup goalie.
Absolutely pathetic showing tonight.

Terrible effort. Terrible game. Constantly turning over the puck, Panthers were beating the Isles up ice all night long. Another PP goal allowed. 3 straight losses -- time for a bit of concern. Gotta get this thing turned around on the upcoming road trip.
