Uh, the scroll on ESPN or YES or some such the other night was saying the judge didn't like Goodells analogy that Brady cheating was like taking PEDs to gain unfair advantage, and hence wasn't buying the NFLs arguement, and urged a settlement. Then quoted Brady's lawyer or something saying "Brady will not accept any suspension. No chance"What's he going to do? Sit out games in protest?

Meaning the judge isn't pleased with the NFLs case, so Brady won't take any settlement except suspended for 0 (zero) games.

What's he going to do? Sit out games in protest? Meaning the judge isn't pleased with the NFLs case, so Brady won't take any settlement except suspended for 0 (zero) games. I understand. But the suspension is not voluntary, or subject to Brady's acceptance of it. If the judge refuses to withdraw it - what does he intend to do to show his refusal to accept it? Sit out games? What's his "plan" here?

So you admit they are a dynasty? Tainted, scummy, delusional, entitled, in the sense that Lance Armstrong had a dynasty...but sure, knock yourself out. Insert Geno joke here. Yeah that works for me.

You think a guy who was so terrified of his privacy that he destroyed a phone that was evidence in an ongoing investigation and had prior rejected even sharing specific texts is going to want to go to court? Cmon. Not a chance. He is pulling these hysterics now and relying on the Boston media bubble and Espn to echo chamber the idea he has a case right now, but if the judge ends this charade he's serving the time. Forget the deflating, there is worse stuff on his phone or he doesnt crap his pants and tarnish his rep the way he did by destroying the phone. His lawyers are too expensive and his pr peeps too experienced for that behavior to have not been in the hopes of covering up something terrible. And he wont be able to hide if he goes to court. Oh, and the whole world will get to watch him squirm on tv live. no chance.

Which is why this will settle.

Eventually, Brady 2 games, Goodell gets "promoted' to another position and we get a new commish who does not work directly for the owners in some fashion. A guy who cannot attend a party at the home of an owner on the eve of an AFC Championship game.

Brady's "acceptance" of the suspension? lulz
It reminds me of an episode of the office where Michael Scott had to declare bankruptcy.

Dimwit NE Fan: "Hey Tom, great to have you back after missing 4 games for that suspension!"
Tom Brady: "It wasn't a suspension. I never accepted that."

Which is why this will settle. I have a feeling the nfl would be happy to take those chances to out Brady. What they dont want is for this to drag out and distract from their product on the field. The idea that the NFL has something to hide on this given their legal expense and the time they took to review their material in house prior to upholding the punishment after the appeal - they dont uphold unless they believe they are clean themselves in a court of law - it was that review that led to the delay in announcing their decision per Schefter (i heard him explain on radio or i would site).
