Does not seem to be playing with a whole lot of confidence. What's the number on JT on penalty shots this year? 1 for 8? 1 for 9? I've lost track... Maybe they need to put a compilation tape of his shots this year to shame him into another approach. Regression to the mean can't happen if he never gets an actual shot off. |

I honestly thought the Isles outplayed the Hurricanes for most of the game, and especially the third. Brutal game for Bailey with the turnover that lead to the goal (which should have been stopped, but still...) and the choke on the empty net (smashing the tap in off the post). Big 2 points. Detroit and Boston both lost in regulation so a good night overall... |

They outplayed them in the third, because they were losing. Doesn't seem to be any urgency until they're down a goal.
Lots of turnovers in their own zone, I thought. I counted one possession in their own end, where they got possession and failed to clear it/get the puck out 5 times. Lucky Carolina didn't pot one. Clear it like you mean it.
Either way, a big 2 points last night. Need another 2 tomorrow night.
I heard the magic number to clinch is down to 7?
