Well, that was an ugly 40 minutes. I gave up and turned it off after the 2nd, but it doesn't sound like it got any better in the last 20. At least we were hospitable hosts today. Gave Sundquist his First NHL goal -- a shorty. Which was even more of a gift because of the feed from Berube to set him up. Gave Matt Murray his first NHL shutout. Didn't see the game, saw the score at the end of 2. Even the box score said it was a sad effort today. not fer nuthin, but the isles only wins in the last 10 games or so have been against Carolina and Columbus. I think we know where this team stands for the last few games. Maybe 1 more W. 0-5-1 in their last 6 against playoff teams. 8 goals scored in those 6. #1 goalie is out. Top 3 defenseman is out. Not what you want heading into the playoffs. |

Sounds like they are as frustrated as we are.

Heard something like Cappy said that when you face a healthy Pitt team, you can't make mistakes.
Uh, Cappy, Mallon and Fleury were out, and some others.
If I was Garf and heard my coach say something that stupid, I'd have to see him in my office immediately and wonder where exactly his head is at. Living in fucking fantasy land, apparently.
And blasphemy here, but I don't think JT is captain material. Kinda like Jagr - was great being second behind Lemieux, but not as C.

Really nice effort tonight -- all 60 minutes. Best they have looked in a few weeks, fun to watch tonight. Just hope that neither Clutterbuck or deHaan are not hurt too badly.
