Looking real good. Foliar spray is when you spray the leaves. Just buy a cheap pressurized spray container and that will work great for foliar feeding, spraying insecticidal soap, and neem oil. I've never heard of using neem oil too open the leaves, it's an insecticide, maybe Freestater can elaborate. TBH you probably don't even need anything at this point by looking at them, they look much healthier than when you first posted. At this stage make sure you don't use a fertilizer high in Nitrogen(the first number in the analysis on a bag). If anything you might want to go with a higher phosphorous based fert (middle number) to encourage flowering. Too keep the plant from getting too tall start training the branches down. A little string and some tent stakes does the trick for only a few bucks and will yield bigger buds. Good luck keeping that to 8 oz. You're probably looking at more like 2lbs. cured and since they are outdoors you will have no control over when they get harvested. They will probably all be ready around the same time. Edit: Forgot to add, props on getting the azomite. That shit works great and 40lbs. goes a long way. =================================== Thanks for the feedback Rob, and the tip for the Azomite. I have not used any fertilizer to speak of yet and do not plan to till at least the budding stage, my thoughts are the soil may become depleted by the time flowering starts and I may need to fertilize them then? 8 ounces is more then I can possibly smoke in a year even with help, so if I can't give the shit away I will look into donating it to a dispensary.

Sounds like a good plan, the only reason I mentioned the fertilizer is because you brought up the osmocote. And I'm in the same boat in regards to smoking. I helped my neighbor harvest his legal indoor crop two days ago and he wanted to give me a shitload for helping him out. He grows 100% organically and doesn't even use ferts, just RO water and about 50 ingredients to build his soil. Hell, with the potency of todays bud I'm lucky if I can go through a gram every week or two. Two tokes and I'm ready for either bed or some sexy time.

Yup, neem is an insecticide, but it coats the leaves so that the spider mites cannot move around anymore, it's not really a poison. The sticky covering also allows the leaf to absorb more light, and leaves that are gathering more light will naturally grow wider (and usually a little darker)and they'll produce more photosynthesis.

My wife and I got into this discussion the other day if we were to travel to Colorado on vacation would we imbibe. She would not. She never got into it in the 70's, so she wouldn't now. Plus she's a licensed healthcare provider so she could get into trouble. I on the other hand don't have those "issues" so I told her I'd try it again. She seemed a bit surprised. She was more surprised by her older sister's agreement to give it a shot! lololol

This evening July 28th Last Sunday I thought I noticed a different look to the new growth, I think they are starting to flower. Blue Dream Pineapple train Blue Kush, This plant doesn't seem to like the intense sun and hot weather we had this week. Agent Orange Then this Seedling in a planter that I am not sure yet if it is male or female?

Blue Dream Pineapple train Blue Kush, This plant doesn't seem to like the intense sun and hot weather we had this week. Agent Orange Then this Seedling in a planter that I am not sure yet if it is male or female? The plants overall are looking good. Unfortunately the curled leaves are something that is out of your control and I'm dealing with the same problems on my vegetables because of temps and wind. With summer transitioning to fall I'm sure your plants will do fine in the long run when they are given more hospitable conditions. Seedling looks to be female so let it grow and see what happens. Do you have hailstorms there? We get about one per year in my parts and it happened today. Completely wiped out my eggplants, 100+ carrots that I just germinated, and I had 3" of what looked like snow stacked against the side of my house. It's something that was never a concern growing in NY but now I see how it can destroy a great crop in other parts of the country.

We have had a mild July until about 5 days ago and the temps have been 95+ since with clear skies and intense sun. I am keeping a close watch on the seedlings and today separated them since they are both in planters on the other side of the yard. No chance of hail in my locale during the summer, we get hail randomly November through March but I never have seen it larger then a pea. The Willamette Valley is mild year round with beautiful summers. Sorry about the carrots not real big on egg plant but sorry about those also I guess. The last pictures were taken at the end of a hot day, in the mornings for the most part the leafs are all open. And by the by, no comments or complaints from the neighbors so far, the closets neighbor, I know has seen them, but not brought them up. I don't there is much of an odor issue as of yet.

Being outdoors will mitigate the effects but it will be noticeable when the wind blows the right way and they are getting close. I'm guessing your harvest date should be just before first frost but that varies by plant so keep a close eye for optimal times. You still have a long way to go with this batch but it looks promising

==================================== Good lord, I can't imagine success like that. I have been working on spreading them, I thinned a lot of lower growth, on Blue Kush I broke the top 10" off 2 of the tallest branches trying to weight them down, so I am experimenting with different techniques, but on the branches that I have been able to go horizontal with the new growth looks interesting. We'll see, I keep doing stuff to maximize produce and keep things low when the reality is all I need is quality, been a funner project then I expected.

Story is these will be ready by deer season as a rule, so another 6 weeks or so till harvest, about the 2nd week end of September.

I just lifted that photo off of the net too emphasize how training can work. Keep pulling the bottom garbage and spread them out, you might want too look into one last fertilization at this point. Go organic with a low N,, High P, and somewhere in the middle K. Also consider about 3 weeks for a proper cure but that depends on your location.
