Be realistic (no Myles Garrett ) 1) Fournette - I've discussed my admiration plenty of times, no need to repeat. 2) Derek Barnett - The guy is admittedly pudgy looking, but he is a lot more athletic than he looks. He has consistently destroyed SEC teams over his 3 years. I don't know that he is going to be great standing up, but fuck it, just go to a 4-3 already and play Barnett on the weakside with Leo on the other end. 3) Dalvin Cook - I think one could fairly argue that the Jets have not drafted a blue chip player on offense in the first round since Keyshawn and that was in 1996. Dalvin is a multifaceted, scheme diverse home run threat who has been dominant since he was a freshman. 4) Jamal Adams - I think Adams is a very good player moving forward, kind of a rich man's Calvin Pryor. Adams plays aggressive, but under control. I love his enthusiasm for the game. That being said, I didn't see a lot of him in coverage to pass judgment on his ability in this area. It doesn't mean he can't do it, I just didn't see it. Additionally, I don't like picking a safety in the top 10. 5) Tim Williams - I'm not as high on Williams as many other people are. He is a good pass rusher who is better against the run than he gets credit for. That being said, he gets a lot of 1 on 1 matchups because of who he plays next to in Alabama's front 7 and, frankly, I never saw him take over games or dominate whenever I watched Alabama.

Okay I'm not a draft guy but IMHO.
First I would look real hard to trade out of #6 and pick up more draft picks, we could use them.
But we never trade back in the first, so if I was to pick at #6 I would go BPA, which my guess would be Dalvin Cook or Fournette. We can't afford to reach on this pick.

1-Cook (obvious reasons)
2-Fournette (ditto)
3-Mike Williams, because we if we're serious about rebuilding, the answer is not to continue buying wideouts
4-T. McKinley... I know. As of Jan 11, this seems like a stretch... well i'm going to go ahead and predict that he inches his way up from #30-40 into the teens after combine, and then right into top 5-8 defenders by April. He may not demonstrate the same power at the point like Barnett, but I think he has better instincts, he plays his role brilliantly, and finishes plays. He's a Pass rusher, and I think he's better than Beasley, Dupree, and others. I keep watching film to find reasons why he will last until the 2nd, and all i see is reasons why he's going to fly up board. #DarkHorse 5-Q. Wilson... best pure CB in the draft.

MOnday night sealed it for me. It would be like having 2015's version of Brandon Marshall at age 22 on a rookie contract. Sign me up.

That's 2-3 years from now whilst we still have Brandon and Decker. _

Both big WRs that like to turn around and high point the ball rather than let it come to them. Also I don't think I've seen a WR layout for the football as much as Williams. It reminds me of Brandon Lloyd. He was always diving for balls.

Robbie, Peake, Quincy, Smith, J Marshall. Those players should not preclude us from drafting a WR. I like Anderson, we might lose Enunwa, Devin Smith fucking blows and might not make the roster, ditto Jalin Marshall. None of the above are #1 type guys and B Marshall is old and Decker had about 100 surgeries this year.

Statistically speaking -- there's going to be at least 1 Defensive player right now ranked in that 30-45 range who will be in the 5-15 spectrum come april... I guess I'm saying he's my pick for that ascension.

That tells who how much I love those two backs. Or more importantly, how much I think we need one of those 2 backs.

I just don't want to use the number 6 pick on a position where we have pretty good depth. Not superstars but a pretty fully stocked cupboard. If we're going for a playmaker on offense I'd much rather go Cook or Fournette. Listen, I'd love to have Williams for the next 10 years but it might be slight overkill with all the needs all over the roster. We can get by with what we have. Rather target a position that is nearly threadbare. _
