Those players should not preclude us from drafting a WR. I like Anderson, we might lose Enunwa, Devin Smith fucking blows and might not make the roster, ditto Jalin Marshall. None of the above are #1 type guys and B Marshall is old and Decker had about 100 surgeries this year. I was using hyperbole. I just don't want to use the number 6 pick on a position where we have pretty good depth. Not superstars but a pretty fully stocked cupboard. If we're going for a playmaker on offense I'd much rather go Cook or Fournette. Listen, I'd love to have Williams for the next 10 years but it might be slight overkill with all the needs all over the roster. We can get by with what we have. Rather target a position that is nearly threadbare. _ No arguments there but if we pull the trigger on Williams at 6 overall I'll never second guess the pick at this stage of the game. He could easily be BPA for the new QB we draft in 2018. We have needs throughout the entire roster......every single position. Why draft a subpar LT when you can draft a stud WR?

I need an explosive offensive player with that pick. I'd never question the pick of Williams. I just think Cook or Fournette would be total home runs. _

I've been banging the offensive drum for a LONG time.

I think we're all on the same page in recognizing the talent those 2 running backs represent. Both as playmakers and as needed additions to our deprived roster. They're clearly the top choices
That said, if Macc took Williams instead and chose to take advantage of the draft depth at RB with a different back later, I'd be immediately at peace with the decision.
No back + No Williams?.... I'd be reaching for my torch.

Can't argue with your top 3 -- I have just recently come around on Williams as one of my top choices. MOnday night sealed it for me. It would be like having 2015's version of Brandon Marshall at age 22 on a rookie contract. Sign me up. I really like Mike Williams and I think the Marshall comp is spot on. That being said, we have a lot of young talent at WR, so I'm not crazy about going WR in the top 10. I have he two RBs ahead of him, and I assume at least one if not both will be available. But as others have said, we have some young promising WRs, but I am not sure we have a legit #1 among the group. Marshall is coming off a bad year, is 32+ years old and might be done here as a cap casualty. That leaves Decker & Enunwa as the only proven NFL WRs. Marhsall, Peake, Anderson and Smith are all young guys with promise. Put Williams into the mix and I we have a legit #1 which I think makes everyone else better.

1. Quincy Wilson
1.Quincy Wilson
2. Malik Hooper
3. T. Mckinely
4.Derrick Barnett
5.Marlon Humphrey.
I would trade down to get another 2nd round pick, one or more of those players will still be available.

Leonard Fournette Dalvin Cook Jamal Adams Mike Williams Derek Barnett
The Jets would really have to fuck this up to miss out on a difference maker. It was said they're looking for an OC that focuses more on the run game and gets the TE involved. So landing one of the top 2 RBs is a no brainer for Mac.

1. Hooker. I think 7 years down the road he's the best player in the draft. 2. Fournette 3. Cook(really 2B). 4. Tabor. 5. Ramczyk. He's going to be closer to Joe Thomas than people think.

Right now, these would be my top 5
Fournette.....when you factor in just how big this guy is and then watch him run, he gets the nod over Cook IMO.
Mike Williams....he is the proto-typical #1 WR this team hasn't drafted since Keyshawn Johnson. When teams see his vertical jump and what his arms measure at the combine, top 10 will not be a reach for this kid.
Jamal Adams....best all around safety in a pretty loaded class this year. Can do it all as a safety.
Dalvin Cook...third best offensive playmaker in the draft, would not be upset at all if he were the pick.
Q. Wilson.....crazy length and athleticism. Everything you want in a CB.

1. Reuben Foster Seen enough of that guy in the Championship game to know he's an organization changer 2. BPA 3. BPA 4. BPA 5. BPA
Not big on the RB taken so early (look at Gurley) Love Mike Williams, but we have to sure up our QB position first Safety at 6??? Meh CB's and OLine a must, but too early

Plus we'll have an extra pick or two.

One scenario I would be cool with is if Cleveland wanted to trade back up to 6 from their 12(?) spot, kicking in their 33rd overall pick. Not sure if that is realistic, though.
