I'm excluding Garrett, S.Thomas and Allen. Garrett b/c he will be gone. Allen and S.Thomas b/c they simply don't make sense for the Jets right now and they can't afford a luxury pick.
1. Fournette- simply the top talent in the draft behind Garrett- IMHO
2. Adams- The top defensive player in the draft behind Garrett. Checks all the boxes.
3. Hooker- Elite FS talent. Play-maker. He's a bit of a gamble b/c of injuries and lack of experience- but purely as a prospect he is top 5 IMO.
4. OJ Howard- Top offensive talent behind Fournette IMHO. Another guy, like Hooker, that has some untapped potential and purely as an athelte is top 5.
5. Cook- Elite RB. Period. I have him a few notches below Fournette but I think he can be just as productive at the NFL level, if not as dominant or explosive.
6. Peppers- I really like his versatility. Again, a guy that checks all the boxes. He is a lot like Adams but while Adams is better against the run, Peppers is better in coverage. He makes a ton of sense for the Jets.
7. C.Davis- Top WR- IMHO. I have him ahead of Williams.
8. Barnett- To pass rusher behind Garrett.
