Think about how much better our young WRs would be if we had a great RB to line up in the backfield.
Imagine a set with Anderson and D. Smith on the outside, Decker and Enunwa in the slot and Cook/Fornette in the backfield.

Now go get OJ Howard in round 2 and this offense is in business. _

To be honest i don't want to draft another defensive player in the first round for the next 3 years. Its time to build an NFL offense, and get with the times. Oh and Devin smith and Robby Anderson on the outside is vomit worthy. This team needs a lot of help

Gotta trade down in the first. To me that"s a no brainer. We won't be abl;e to get foster, but we can still get a top corner or rush linebacker. Plus we'll have an extra pick or two. Which team do you think is the most likely candidate to trade up to 6? One scenario I would be cool with is if Cleveland wanted to trade back up to 6 from their 12(?) spot, kicking in their 33rd overall pick. Not sure if that is realistic, though. Cleveland, or the Colts. Colts taking Fournette, maybe Cleveland trading up for Watson or Trubisky. Cleveland has loads of money to spend.

1. Cook - he's been compared to Marshall Faulk. That's the type of versatile RB the jets need, someone who can make plays and take the pressure off the qb. 2. Hooker - we need to rebuild the secondary to get back to a top 10 De. ball hawk. Compared to Ed Reed. 3. Adams - same here except he can cover the tight end. We all know the jets can't stop a TE to save their life. 4. Fournette - Hard to pass on a guy who's been compared to AP. Maybe we can run the ball down teams throats every Sunday. Control the clock, field position and play good De to win games until we find a legit QB. 5. M. Williams - They say he's the best Clemson WR, better than Watkins, Hopkins and Bryant. Maybe we can find someone to get him the rock
Bottom line we need a guy who's gonna be a difference maker during the game. We basically have one right now in Leo Williams

1. Lattimore 2. Cook 3. Fournette 3. Hooker 5. Trubisky
I would guess that 2 or maybe even 3 of these guys are still on the board at 6. There's a natural "gravitational pull" towards the top for QBs regardless of how good they are. If Trubisky will be the first one taken then he's likely gone in the first 5 picks.
I'd really love for the Jets to get the top prospect at a particular position this year. It's a decent year for RBs and CBs. If none have been taken by #6 then we get the pick of the litter and ultimately the success of the pick will be 100% attributable to how well the Jets scouting department did in ranking their board (i.e. Cook over Fournette? Lattimore over Humphrey or Tabor? etc.)
I'm definitely bummed that it's a down year for OT's, particularly LT's. It would have been great to find a replacement for D'Brick in this draft.

It's been about a month and I've already changed my mind dramatically. I don't want a QB at #6....almost under any circumstance. I'm convinced that none of them are Top 10 worthy. Five guys I'd be happy with at 6... 1. S - Jamal Adams (can't see him lasting until 6) 2. RB - Fournette (50/50 chance he's there at 6) 3. TE - OJ Howard (I think he'll be there) 4. RB - Cook (I think this is early for him, would rather get him in the 10-14 range) 5. CB - Lattimore (Injuries are a concern but if everyone else above is gone I think we have to take him) I really want either one of two types of player....1) A difference maker on offense, a clear epicenter of talent at a skill position like a Fournette or Howard, or 2) A top talent in the Secondary
