What is Terry Collins?... He is not a leader. He is not a motivator. He is not a strategist. He is not a sabermatics guy.... What he is, is a LOSER. He has never won anything. And he is not suddenly going to become a winner now. He reminds me of an older guy I met when I was working for one of the big banks while in college who told me... "If you never stick your neck out and you hang around long enough, they'll have no choice but to promote you."

The manager only means so much in baseball, but yeah his decisions are just bizarre sometime.
Team should really consider selling some of our older players. This team can not contend with banged up staff, awful bullpen, and position players who are too old.
Bruce, Granderson, Walker, Cabrera, Reyes, sell em all and restart.

The entire training and medical staff has to be fired. Every year, it's the same nonsense.

Just got invited to the Cubs - Yankees game at Wrigley on Friday. Not sure who to root for. The Met fan in me finds it hard to root for the Yankees, but the New Yorker in me wants to beat Chicago.
Go Yankees, I guess???

Go Yankees, I guess??? I'm a Met fan who has never bought into the idea that I must be a Yankee hater. Different division, different league, not really a rival in the standings.

Does any professional sports team compare well to the Yankees? Canadiens Cardinals Steelers Cowboys Red Wings Hell even the devils. Celtics Lakers on and on. Canadiens, I will buy, they have 23 Stanley Cups. Based on years of operation, probably the closest to the Yankees. Lakers have 16 rings, Celtics 17 I think? I can buy them, since the next closest is the Bulls with 6. Both teams, like the Yankees and Canadiens benefited from being around since the beginning of time. The rest, I dunno. Cardinals? Red Wings? 11 Championships each... second / third best in their respective leagues. I guess those numbers are ok in the NHL for original six teams... at least way better than the Bruins and the Rangers Steelers have 6, Cowboys have 5... If you said the Packers, with 13 total championships (9 pre-super bowl), Id give you that one, since the NFL is a different animal and a lot of the above championship totals are aided by longevity and smaller leagues/less competition in the early years. The Steelers in fact were known as the longest pre-Superbowl era "also ran" so thats a run of futility the Yanks didnt have. And the Devils? Are you smoking crack? Islanders have more cups than the NJD

I dont hate the Yankees either. I will say I dislike a subset of their fanbase, typically the younger ones always yapping about all their world series wins since the dawn of time.

Islanders have more cups than the NJD Lakers and Celtics are close, but weren't most of their championships won by 2 dynasties for each team? The Yankees have had so many different groups of players and managers win. The Canadiens. Shit, they were only competing against 5 other teams in the original 6 days, and since 1980 (37 years) they've only won twice with the last win being 25 years ago.

There really isnt a comparison.
