Part of me is wondering how much involvement the insurance lobby had in crafting the AHCA as well as the ACA.
The other part of me either thinks I know, or doesnt want to know...
Until we create more competition to drive down costs, its all the same crap in a different wrapper.

What's fucking this up is all the Medicaid enrolled. The conservatives want that shit whacked but some Rep senators are worried about losing if they vote to kill it. Nobody has ever taken a tittie that big away before. People like free shit.

Obamacare was a trojan horse with a nuke inside of it. It was never designed to work. It was designed to create an entitlement (the massive medicaid expansion) to make it impossible for Reps to get rid of it politically and designed to implode and put everyone on single-payer. Universal Medicaid. Hooray.

I thought the Obominator had only 22 million in his plan and only 2 to 3 million were screed up? Our Aetna plan from work actually stayed the same in price and some costs went away? Has anyone here experienced any negatives?

They could do a slow phase out that carries them past the 2018 elections.

Social Security is going to bankrupt the fucking country and they wont even utter the words allah Obama and radical Islam.

Has anyone here experienced any negatives? Employer plans are different than those on the individual marketplace. Aetna has dropped out of the individual marketplace for the most part.

Uh, removing the penalty for not buying insurance will encourage many low wage earners to return to the practice of treating the ER as their PCP. Which drives up EVERYBODY'S costs, not to mention meaning that when you yourself go to the ER you'll find yourself behind a long line of uninsured.
Vin, do you also think auto insurance should also be optional?

The penalty wasnt doing anything though. Cost still going up. Insurers and options going down. Obamacare was going to collapse. How many people left without healthcare then?
Part of me wants to see them let it collapse. But then we all end up on medicaid or purchasing concierge medicine like a country club membership.

Vin, do you also think auto insurance should also be optional? So it's a long line. I've been there before. So has my father. It's a pain in the ass but even with insurance, you STILL HAD TO WAIT in line. This is not a doctor's office you're mentioning. It's the friggin' ER. It's always been first-come, first-serve no matter if you're insured or not. So really either way, there wouldn't be much difference regardless. And as far as the bolded goes? That's a totally different story because a person doesn't get sick every day he or she gets up. But a person CAN have an automobile accident at ANY TIME when driving their vehicle each day. So Auto Insurance should always be mandatory.
