And I like that. At least from an entertainment stand point, Thursday should be a pretty fun night. Not only could I see the Jets going about 6 different directions at #6(or trading), outside of #1, I don't think there is any real certainty anywhere in the first round.
Could be a lot of "didn't see that coming" moments.

I'm in the same boat. I thought Conley was going to be the pick, but that ship just sailed.

So much of it will be based on how the QBs are valued. We could take one, trade back with another team that wants one, or one or even two QBs could go before our pick. Definitely potential for craziness.

I was leaning towards Conley as well. There was just too much coming out about the Jets and him. It was almost like Macc was trying to prepare the fan base for taking him at 6 if they couldn't move down. I've seen Conley mocked to the Saints.
Despite the charges likely being false, this will push him down.

Must see TV for sure!

There are rumors now of Haason Reddick being in play at 6 and I pray to god it's false.

It's all very bizarre. I feel like i know what they're going to do based on reports/meets/etc... yet history has shown us that Mike does Mike...
It's scary and exciting?
I have to redo my mock now that I don't have the Jets taking Conley @12

There are rumors now of Haason Reddick being in play at 6 and I pray to god it's false. He was impressive when I watched him and was easily the best player at the Senior Bowl. IMO he's a can't miss prospect but is too rich for my blood at #6 overall.

I think Reddick is a very good prospect just as I think Jonathan Allen and Reuben Foster are very good prospects. But they are not good fits for what this team needs.

Unless Adams drops to 6 the pick should and will be OJ Howard. I would be beyond furious to see any CB taken at 6. The rarer more special talent is Howard. Every year there are 4-5 corners who are first round talent. You can draft a "Marshon Lattimore" in the top 15 just about every year now. The college game is full of 6' athletic corners now. They are not special or rare anymore. A 6'6" TE with Howard's skill set doesn't come around every year. Combine that with the massive need for a big target like that and it makes way too much sense for him to not be the pick.

I don't think any prospect other than DL should be out of play because they "aren't what the Jets need."
The Jets have one of the worst rosters in the NFL. They need players everywhere. If Reddick is a badass, they should take him.
Some are pegging Reddick as an ILB, but I think he'd be more likely used like a Jamie Collins. Play a bit of everywhere.
The Jets just need to obtain good football players.

I'm not saying I disagree about the corner part, I'm just not sold that Howard is some ultra rare athlete. His best attribute is his height. He moves very well for that height, but there are better athletes than him in this class that are also tall. I also just think Howard will be mediocre. Everyone blames Alabama's coaching staff for not knowing how to use him. I don't buy that. I just don't like taking an offensive player at 6 that was as non existent at times as he was. That's not just because how a coaching staff used him.
