Federal grand-jury subpoena. Sounds so scary. Then you read the fine print. They're trying to hang Flynn on a $45,000 appearance he made in Russia. He didn't disclose what he made on the trip but he did inform the DoD that he was making the trip and speaking there. $45,000. How many hundred of millions did the Clintons receive from foreign governments and businesses? Flynn lied about more than taking money from foriegn countries, when Flynn imformed the DOD about his foreign trips,he was told it was illegal for,him to take any monies from the countries. Also if you get a grand jury subpoena its nothing to lightly.

They may strip his pensions and benefits and never let him register as a lobbyist again but going to jail for $45k speaking/appearance fee is nothing a politician wants to set a precedent for. One day it could be a democratic appointee that gave a speech in some country. Wake me up when they have him sending the Russians the nuclear codes or something.

Dims will drag this out for years, and never let it go. I hope they don't. Let's find out what, if anything, happened and move on. But we can't function well as a government with this black cloud hanging over Trump's head. crazy people already crying "constitutional crisis" and "impeachment". they'll milk it cuz they have nothing else to get votes. where were they the last 8 years of pen-and-phone executive orders, Lynch meeting with Clinton to discuss grandkids, etc?

Not sure I would call him a disaster. He made a lot of enemies on his way out of the Obama admin. Then he broke a rule and they went for their pound of flesh. Politics.

I'm not going to rehash Comey's justification for not prosecuting Clinton in the first place. I can tell you that personally, as a prosecutor who works with police every week, actions that are arguably criminal are not prosecuted all the time. No one said she is immune to anything. I speed in my car all the time (as do many who are reading this thread). Should we all get speeding tickets every single time we speed? Do you know the amount of resources that it would take to fulfill that? Most of us were not aware of the statute the Hillary arguably violated until the email scandal broke. The only reason most people give a shit is because she is an unpopular person who ran for president. Police actions and actions of National Security are very different. Putting her server in an unsecured location, using a Gmail type account for business are blatant violations of state department policy. We will never know the amount of hacking that was done based on this.... she also lied under oath when she denied wrong doing. These statements are correct. However, when you are deciding whether to prosecute a case, you have to make a judgment call about whether you are going to be able to prove your allegations beyond a reasonable doubt. The problem in this particular case had to do with the language of the statute that people were calling for her to be prosecuted under. She was undisputably negligent, but that does not necessarily mean that you can prove it rose to the standard of criminal behavior. It's admittedly a fine line.

When I was I the Army the guys in the Communications platoon in charge of the radios had to carry a little book for the radio frequencies that the Battalion used. If you lost this book you were going to jail. Hillary, Huma and her crew treated classified information like it was a newspaper and just left that shit anywhere. She needs to be in jail. Ok, I was in the air force. When we were in the military, we were subject to the UCMJ, which civilians are not subject to, so you aren't making an apples to apples comparison. For example, as a civilian, you can accept a gift from someone and not be in any trouble. If you were an office holder, the same exact gift can get you in trouble.

That's the way discovery works. You subpoena a set of documents that you want, come up with new questions and inquiries based upon what you read and then issue new subpoenas. If the Clintons received millions illegally from foreign agents, then they should be prosecuted as well. I don't know why it has to be one or the other. What better discovery is there than the FISA warrants they used to get his conversations with foreign dignitaries? They don't have to be one or the other, nor should they be. But for the so-called "news" media its seems to be. And neither you nor I know what those warrants disclosed. The news media is generally for entertainment these days.

But we know what they didnt disclose bc according to the heads of multiple agencies there is no evidence of Trump/Russia collusion. Hopefully they were checking the dumpster out back behind the Trump Grill.
