Baker Mayfield. He's my guy. _ Why? I watched a lot of the game yesterday and was not overly impressed with either Qb. Mayfield did look better then Rudolph but neither of the defenses is worth a shit. Not a big cfb watcher though. One play. In the 4th quarter, he got flushed out of the pocket spun to his right and as he was back peddling he kept his eyes downfield and threw a strike across the field to the left sideline to a wide open receiver who ran it dien the sideline for a TD. Great escapability, great vision, great arm talent in one nice little package. In truth, I'm trying to convince myself that he's the guy because we're not getting Rosen or Darnold and I don't know what to make of Allen and Jackson and my man-love for Falk is waning. I actually didn't like Mayfield coming into the year, don't love his height. But I've watched him a fair bit this year and every time I've watched I've been impressed with his ability to make plays, extend plays, and his arm and accuracy is better than I thought. A taller bigger less dooshy Johnny Football. _

Risen is the only clear guy I'd take before him if he was clear medically and his leadership stuff isn't truly a big deal.

Clayton Thorson, Northwestern is wowing the pro scouts. Some believe he is a first round talent. Honesty Qualification: I have never seen Thorson play. But just looking at his stats, he's a 57% comp guy for his career and barely a 60% comp guy this year and this year he's 10 TDs and 9 INTs. At Northwestern. If we take a guy like this earlier than the 4th I'll shit. I can't even look at a guy that no one's heard of before the combine. Not in the first 3 rounds. He sounds like a really really really poor man's Blake Bortles. _

I've seen some mocks projecting Ryan Finley as the first QB off the board. Can anyone give me a scouting report?

I've seen some mocks projecting Ryan Finley as the first QB off the board. Can anyone give me a scouting report? I think someone did one several pages back, that's why I've been including him on the weekly TV tracker. I've only seen him play maybe a half so I can't really say. Good size, athleticism, good arm, accurate. That's all I got. Can't imagine him being the first QB but I never thought Bortles would go that high, seemingly out of no where. _

If anyone is doubting Darnold, they should watch this game.
We need, Cleveland to win a game, SF to lose out and then we need to work a deal with them.
