Thanks. I d have some concerns around the PET for sure. I had a nightmare they found 12 more locations. Needless to say I awoke in a puddle and panting. How do I add a pix from my tablet? I do not have a web address to use and none of the buttons are helping. Itried to copy and aste and that ain't working. Have they said whether you'll do chemo or radiation or both if the PET comes up positive. Chemo is alot better and more tolerable today than when we went through it. Radiation is also much more pinpoint. If it comes to it you're a man's man. You'll tolerate it well. _ Actually they are talking that as an absolute last resort. They have had 7 new drugs come out to treat Melanoma in the last 5 years. The Oncologist said if this was 2010 it was the only option after surgery. He said I am really fortunate to get it now and not 5 years ago. I fail to see anything fortunate about fucking cancer.

Its all about the degree of the shit hand dealt. 5 years ago it would have been Kotite. This is Mangini.

Antiangiogenisis drugs? Stops the formation of blood vessels around tumors? That was supposedly the next silver bullet. _

Did you have MOHS surgery? _ I did...on my nose about 11 years ago. When she was finished and before the plastic surgery (Doc did both) ...it looked exactly like someone had placed a .38 revolver to the side of my nose and pulled the trigger. Perfect bullet hole down to the bone. Honestly, I thought I'd be walking around with a giant scar forever but she did such a great job suturing, you cant even see it any more. Prolly had 3 things removed since then. Friggen Irish skin.

But the worst was a large spot on her forehead that would require MOHS or a massive scar. Unfortunately she was pregnant with one of our kids so they couldn't give her the typical local anesthesia because it would have jumped across the placenta to the baby. So she got periodic shots of basically liquid Advil and he took about 5 slices until he got it all. Her head was open for about an hour. And I stood over her the whole time watching it. Ooooofff. _

My father, Scottish descent so practically Irish, goes annually for his basal cell scoops/chemical peels once a year. And people ask me why I apply sunblock in March.

My wife had lymph node involvement from the initial diagnosis so the time period between her surgery and her PET and full body scans was almost as bad as the run up to her original surgery. Was easily my most anxious time until her recurrence. That and waiting for the PATH to come back. You should post a lot of pron between now and then. To get your mind off of it. But only classy stuff. No even moderately fat chicks. Seriously, if you want to talk, let me know. _ Thanks. I d have some concerns around the PET for sure. Has something to do with the immune systems we have and targeting meds to breakdown the cell around the melanoma to allow the newly enhanced immune system kill it off. They had had great success with reducing and eliminating masses. The PET scan is the next scary thing in my future. Docs won't commit to even a guess if I have anymore.
