Just getting home folks. The next hurdle is the PET scan on Friday. I need a shower and a nap. Hospitals suck, even the good ones.
Stokesy - I have an article I will post later, after I talk to 32, about the immno stuff going on now. Very encouraging. The pic as well. Just feel beat up at the moment.

Yup I've read a lot about the immuno meds and the theory behind it. Sounds promising. My wife had some of the earliest immuno- therapy treatments but it was still in it's (no pun intended) infancy stages. She had fetal stem cell transplants down in the DR and again in Bavaria but the gains never lasted long enough (or maybe her spread was too advanced for the stem cells to really arrest the tumor formation throughout her body). _ |

Update: Everything went great. He got "great margins" whatever the fuck that means. Wifne was happy about that. Took right at 3 hours. The next step is the PET scan on Friday to determine the definitive treat plan. Not home free yet but on the fucking way. Kicking cancers ass since 5/22/17. Great news!!! I did...on my nose about 11 years ago. When she was finished and before the plastic surgery (Doc did both) ...it looked exactly like someone had placed a .38 revolver to the side of my nose and pulled the trigger. Perfect bullet hole down to the bone. Honestly, I thought I'd be walking around with a giant scar forever but she did such a great job suturing, you cant even see it any more. Prolly had 3 things removed since then. Friggen Irish skin. I heard the doc saw 32's lil irish shween, thought it was a polyp and removed it. Oh man, I really hate this post. Worst ever. Just awful. Pile of doots. Bag of Dicks. Full colostomy bag. Stokesy - I have an article I will post later, after I talk to 32, about the immno stuff going on now.  |

While my situation does not seem to be as grave it is still a life inventory moment. I am reading so many articles about this stuff and the advances they are making. It sounds like Chemo and radiation are on the back burn in many cases. If they can continue to get the bodies immune system to recognize it for the scumbag it is we will really be able to start to defeat it. Lots of work ahead of them. I joined the trial so my case can be used in the research. I hope it helps in some small way. |
