Yeah, I was awake the last 10% of that surgery as he tugged on the muscles he had just reattached to the sides of my eyeball.
I know it's not cancer and all, but still.

I was asleep the entire time. I had no clue what happened. That must have sucked. I can only imagine the convo between you and the doc that last 10 minutes. I may win in the disgusting stage but you definitely take overall champ for sure. |

I think he meant to add "you fucking millenial". GF took a bunch of other good ones. Was a very weird sensation having him tug on the muscle then saying "ok, look at the eye chart down there and how many "Es" do you see. _ |

_ 100% that's what it was. But with my surgery, they only fix the muscles on one eye so I didn't get the double clamps. _ |

UNC Chapel Hill actually. They had to remove a golf ball sized mass with the tentacles that were wrapped around my trap. Plus took all the lymph-nodes in the neck/shoulder area. Good sized surgical site. Still not as bad as Stokes eye. I was a sleep the entire time and did not have to assist the surgeon in any way. |

The PET is the last real frightening aspect of this. I could have no more masses or I could have a dozen. No one knows right now. I feel like the neck was the primary as well as the secondary. I do not know if I am imagining scratching off something on my neck that bled then went away or if it really happened. If I am remembering correcting and not wishful remembering, it would be a real good sign that this could be isolated to just this one. The waiting sucks. Health care moves so fucking slow in a fast paced world. |
