They better have a God damn snack at the end of this.  Circumstances aside (and speaking from experience), having them push the meds slooooooowly is one of life's great pleasures. Thoughts and prayers. Stay positive. My wife's old coot of a dad was given 8 months to get his affairs in order after diagnosed with lung cancer 5 years ago. The guy always has an upbeat, I can beat this attitude. I think he will outlive me.

After being in the hospital for several months, I asked the Doc if they could put my painkillers in the IV instead of a shot because I was so fucking tired of getting needles. He said no problem and made a note. First two nurses no problem but the third was a bitch. I told her to check the notes but she still had a problem with it. She told me I was basically gonna die lol. The first two nurses put the meds in slowly but this old bag slammed it into the IV. That must be what a junkie feels because I got hot as shit and loopy as hell in about two seconds. Turns out she was supposed to put it in slowly and I guess she was just trying to kill me.  I couldn't enjoy it as much as I should have because every now and then I thought about dying. |
