Interesting note, if there is a Isles-Canes Game 7, it could be back to back, on May 8?
Checking the Barclays schedule, the NY Liberty play the Chinese Nat'l Womens Basketball Team on May 9th. What the fook?

What the fook? the wimmen can play that freaking game at kaiser park in brooklyn, i'm sure the fenceline is more than enough room for all the fans that plan to be in attendance

Friday works great. Come home from work, eat, get my drink on. And Sunday afternoon- were wrapped up by dinner time, and the rest of the evening free. Win-win.
Now just need to win at least one of those games. A 10 day layoff has me worried.

Canes-Caps last night was a crazy game.. Gotta hope they are a little physically and emotionally tired for Friday night. Isles have to come out strong and set the tone like round 1.

Everyone keeps saying canes will be tired. A couple of the talking heads said the opposite - they like to keep riding the wave. Either way, I think the canes are a dangerous team. Sneaky dangerous, like you dominate them for 44 minutes, then suddenly you’re down 3-2 in the 45th minute. |

I do think the Isles will need a period or so to get their legs back from just practicing and not playing, while the Canes are riding that wave like you said. I think if the Isles play smart hockey, like they did against the Pens, they have a good shot. I dont think we're going to see the number of odd man rushes that guys like Letang caused in the last round. The fourth line has to keep doing what they are doing. Boychuk will be missed, but Hickey hopefully steps up. The longer the series goes, I think, it goes in the Isles favor. Our fourth line and the PP boys on defense hitting them over and over by game 5, 6, 7, after already playing 7 games plus OT, I gotta figure they're going to be feeling it. |

Interesting that Griess wound up playing all four vs the Hurricanes and was 3-1-0 in the four starts.
Lehner's got to be the guy, but does Griess wind up getting some play if he falters?

Indeed. Shit got rolled. terrible pass/turnover by clutter. Overall I think they got back to their too cute passy pass pass game, instead of shooting pucks on Mrazek and cleaning up rebounds. Carolina played better second half of the game. I was feeling less and less confident in a W as it went 0-0 further from mid second on. if that goal was allowed, could CAR have challenged on GI? |
