Turn off the lights. At least I can make plans for sunday.
Sweep, to get swept.
Oh well, it was a nice run, unexpected. Pretty obvious they need to try to add some scoring over the off season.
People will get on Lehner for last night, but that game winner was a fluke, great play by Aho. He should be able to give up a goal or two and still win.

I would not be surprised if they won Friday.
They need to shoot the puck, or bring in guys that do. Too many times looking to pass pass pass and set up the perfect shot. In all situations. On the PP, they pass it around the perimeter, trying to feed it to Lee in front of the net... how about shooting and letting him bang in the rebound or screen the goalie? When Toews did that, they scored. Get the puck on net and good things happen.
Also way too many turnovers trying to bring the puck into the Canes end of the ice. Sometimes I think they try to get too fancy. Just keep it simple.

An awesome, unexpected season they gave us, but they should be embarrassed about tonight. That was pathetic.

Brock Nelson officially resigned, 6 years, $36M. $6M/yr cap hit, signed through 33. I think thats the perfect length and money per year. You werent going to find another 2C for $6M per. Duchene and Hayes should get more, everyone else in that range is way older.
Also hearing a rumor Lee might be close, at $40-42M. Maybe 6 yrs x $7M overall?

Hopefully he goes Brocktober the whole season That's probably the biggest fear we all have... the guy has been up and down his early career, disappearing for stretches. He finally puts it together for a full season when he's: 1) 27, so maybe it all just clicked finally 2) Playing in the best system he has so far, under Barry Trotz 3) Playing for basically his big contract, as next contract at 33/34 will be pennies comparatively. The risk is that it was #3, more than 1 & 2. I hope it is 1 & 2, because for pretty much the whole season and playoffs, he looked like a pretty decent 2 way #2 center. But he wants to be on the Island and raise his family, and we all know that until we get a new arena, we will have to over-pay for free agents. $6m a year for Brock, vs. $9-10m for Duchene, or paying a guy in his 30s? I'll take Brock.

I'm 46 years old, been such a die hard fan my whole life, never miss a game. But it's getting harder and harder to keep on doing it...Lou better turn this offseason around quickly.
