Looks like it amounted to swapping Lehner for someone else. And giving into Lee's camp for 7 years. Yeah 7 seems a bit much. And they swapped a 2 yr deal for a 27 yr old Lehner for a 4 yr deal for a 31 yr old Valaaraov or however you spell it. Seems dumb to me.

I was able to switch over to MSG + locally and watch some of the game last night, since the Jets were so awful.
I think they might be streaming on their NHL/Islanders app for free, depending on your cable provider?
Other than that I got nothing.
They won 3-1 on the road. Ho Sang looked decent from what I saw, and Lucas Sbiza had the game winner lol
Since it was a road game, it looked like it was the bottom six and bottom end defense that made the trip, along with rookies. Top 6 F and top 4 D I think play the home games mostly in preseason.

I heard 2-3 teams offer sheeted him and he declined, resigning with Toronto. Hearing they were possibly MTL, MIN, CBS?

their window is small, just a couple years then they’ve got big problems.

Definitely. They have something like $38M a year locked up in Matthews, Marner, Tavares and Nylander for the next 5-6 years. Thats about 40% of the cap on four forwards, albeit very good forwards. Not much left to spend on defense and goaltending. They'd better outscore the opposition every game, and we've seen what happens to them in the playoffs with soft players and soft defense. The Bruins ate them alive.

Anyone know where to watch preseason games? League blackout games in my area. I pay for center ice and the local sports channels on DTV and they still blackout preseason games for me. I don't get it and it still pisses me off even though it happens every year. Just google NHL streams on reddit and you'll find the games.

Per Arthur Staple, LL plans to waive Fritz, Ho Sang, and Hickey today. Be interesting to see who gets through waivers and goes to Bridgeport. I would guess Fritz and Hickey (salary reasons) make it through, and Ho Sang gets claimed by someone willing to take a flier.
I should have asked Lou personally when I ran into him in the stairwell after the preseason game in Bridgeport on Saturday night. We were leaving the game after the 4-2 Islanders win. He's a tiny dude. Like barely taller than Stokes tiny.
