I recommend these: Sorry, missed this when I posted my D Day book...gonna def. order Parachute Infantry as well. The best thing about the book is that he wrote it shortly after the war never went into print until David Ambrose discovered it and got it published. If you are a fan, you may know already that David Webster was in the Band of Brothers. Anyway, it a great firsthand account untainted by the lens of history or poor memory.

Target Patton: The Plot to Assassinate General George S. Patton
Even if you don't buy into the conspiracy bit, the chaos surrounding Patton's role and the end/post war posturing was worth the read. Reintroduces Douglas Bazzata and his story alone was interesting enough.
Caught Stealing (Hank Thompson #1) by Charlie Huston
This first book in the series followed by Six Bad Things and A Dangerous Man. Caught these on a similar thread in the ol' JI years ago. Light reading but very entertaining.
Here Be Monsters - Jamie Sheffield (Tyler Cunningham Series)
Set in the Adirondacks, a pretty cool twist for a detective series as the protagonist is autistic. If you're familiar with the Tri-Lakes region in Northern NY you may really enjoy this.

I hope you enjoy them. The John Lydon book is really only interesting if you were a fan.
