Christmas is coming and the thought of being holed up again in a puny Normandie home with the overweight in laws makes me want to blow my brains out.

If you plan on sticking with this preposterous ruse, I think you should feign a sudden interest in WWll history and take 8 hour walks along the Normandie beaches. Start with "The Bedford Boys" by Alex Kershaw. 22 kids from a town of 3000 in Bedford Virginia lost their lives during the D-Day invasion and subsequent battles. The book explores the town, the lads, their families and the larger events in France. Probably get it on Amazon for less than 10 bucks. Puts a human element into the history that makes it even more compelling. Or, you can pick up "Great French War hero's" volume 1. Well..there's only one volume.... And its two pages.. including the intro and bibliography. Hey now   |

When properly folded, the American flag is a triangle, only showing the stars and blue background. Is it true that when the French flag is folded, it ends up as a rectangle with only the center showing so that it can be used as a surrender flag. True?
