I just saw the movie this week and thought the book was better. The book is focused on the FBI agent who spearheaded the investigation with in the backdrop the creation of the FBI and Hoover's rise. The movie focuses on the main culprits which is also an interesting angle. Thought the movie took too much time to take off.

I just finished reading (listening to) Shelby Foote's Civil War Trilogy. It is,, in my opinion, brilliant. It's not an easy read as it is lengthy but it was never at any point less than absolutely riveting. It took him twenty years to write this (1955 to 1975). If you ever wondered what transpired in between the meager tidbits thrown at us by our woeful education cartel this will not disappoint. I highly recommend it. I did the audio version. Foote was a regular contributor to Ken Burns Civil War series on PBS.
