Oh so you just randomly post that you once worked with David Bowie as if « I was getting the mail one day.. » Common Right? I shared a roll of toilet paper with Morgan Freeman once and told him he should read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." He said he was allergic to chocolate, but read it anyway and thought it was pretty good, despite the plot holes.

It’s an insane book - and I was working with him and band as an assistant engineer for 2.5 months in summer 2001. You spend a lot of time together, lots just sitting around. And I was just reading that book and he had a wicked sense of humor so I brought him a copy one day. Loved it. So the book has a higher recommendation than just my own:)

No - I worked at the studio where they decided to record. It was this: Was a very cool project with his old band, recording songs he'd done early in his career before he had any real sound (or budget). It never got released for some reason. My fav track:

It was this: Was a very cool project with his old band, recording songs he'd done early in his career before he had any real sound (or budget). It never got released for some reason. My fav track: Loloololo - that'a funny. Yeah - that was a good time. The studio could be godawful boring sometimes - so much standing around or woking on terrible material at a snail's pace. But once in a while something like Bowie would come in and everyone would look forward to coming to work for a while. U2 was booked in at some point but then cancelled - bummer. We also ended up with a fair amount of Broadway show cast recordings. The studio had a massive amount of old tube gear, consoles, mics - every obscure piece you could possibly imagine. So we got a lot of rock bands that wanted that sound - and a lot of indie rock - but the rock dried up FAST sometime around 2000 with all the boy bands around. The place was never really the same. I left anyhow after 9/11 which had put things on ice for a while.

I am a big fan of the Joe Ledger series by John Maberry. Good action series that give plausible scenarios around zombies, vampires and other things. The audio books are really well done too if you prefer that medium. His V-Wars books about modern vampires was made into an ok show on Netflix recently. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Ledger_Series
