Keeping Gase employed is the apex of stupidity.
Anything else is better than that.
And besides, Sam was the Consensus #1 pick in everyone's book.
You mean to tell me he's a bust overall because he can't play in this league?
Or because the Jets can't develop QBs worth a SHIT?
Do you see Josh Allen tearing it up for Buffalo?
If we had Josh Allen, he'd be in the same situation Sam is in.
If we don't end up with Trevor(which it looks like we won't), it would be the Apex of KNEE-JERK-REACTIVE Bullshit to *not* build around Sam.
All that is needed (as we've seen with Tannehill) is Adam Gase FUCKING RIGHT OFF this team into obscurity and away from Sam.
Guarantee you anyone with a fucking pulse could do a better job at Developing Sam Darnold.
And with all due respect, Rob..... Get the fuck out of here with that "less Promising Sanchez" ridiculous statement.
Give Darnold the Weapons that Mark had back then, I bet the results would've been even better than just two AFC Championship Appearances.

Many are shitting all over Sam mainly 'cause he blew our shot (seemingly) at Trevor Lawrence.
The anger is understandable but the "bust" talk for someone who was the youngest QB to be drafted in the NFL? Not so much.
You have to start recognizing that this Franchise just can't. develop. Quarterbacks.
Guarantee you if he had gone elsewhere, he'd be slinging the ball all over the field (to his teammates....I say this 'cause I know someone is going to say "hurrr hurr...to the other team" or some stupid shit like that) and be successful.
I mean...I'm curious.
Can you or anyone else let me know what QB aside from Chad Pennington a million years ago(it seems) have the Jets PROPERLY developed? It's an extremely short list, I think.

I swear I could hear Joe Beningo's voice when you said that.

Both games are what a franchise QB puts up in a half.

How often did the Jets run the ball today?

He should be.
He's not going to be drafted by us.
That said, though, it's not going to be all Rainbows and Sunshine with the Jags either.
From what I've seen, their O-Line is garbage so he could get destroyed if they don't improve it.

Trevor is feeling very good these days. Lucky bastard. And even going to the last free state, not the peoples republic of one of the new shit holes. I wonder if you gotta pay tax in York AND Jersey hmm Also let's be real.... Then Florida poon is LIGHT YEARS better than anywhere up there (closer you get to Boston the worst) and you can also see if it's a butterface or not. Really one of the big reasons libbies love the mask so much, is bc most are pretty ugly and they can hide their ugly butterfaces... Not as much a concern in sunny Free Florida. Caliente weather and even muy caliente ladies (Or dudes if that's trev's thing not my place to judge. But either way a better pool to choose from)

Both games are what a franchise QB puts up in a half. When is the last time Darnold put up a 300 yard game, which is commonplace in todays NFL? We have rookies that were drafted into shit situations this year that have put up more 300 yard games in less than a season than Darnold has done in three years. I'm still amazed how many Jets fans still support Darnold for 2021.....it's like they've been blind for 3 years.

But I watched this game and yeah - he didn't make a single play of note. And as conservative as he was, he still put the ball in harms way of an INT several times. I don't know in what way he isn't being more successful but he doesn't pass the eye test to this point.

We have three years of tape on Sammy and nothing has changed, regardless of who is calling the plays. Time to move on from this bust why we still have a top 2 pick. I only weep for the few who still think he is a good QB and will miraculously turn into a top 10 QB next year, because.....insert excuse here.

Jets trade up to #1 with Jax, give them the #2 OA, a 2nd rounder this year, and darnold.

Jets trade up to #1 with Jax, give them the #2 OA, a 2nd rounder this year, and darnold. That will never happen. Jax is taking Lawrence no matter what you give them and at this point Darnold is nothing more than a throw in.

I'd love to hear that conversation (phone or zoom conference call) where the JAGS GM laughs in Joe D's face while hanging up.
There' is no fucking way in hell that the Jags trade away Trevor to the Jets.
Judging from the 41-17 drubbing against Chicago (The Tank was on, btw), I'd say that Jags ownership (unlike Jets ownership) knew what is at stake.
