I've been mildly supportive, mostly bc I have barely watched this year. But I watched this game and yeah - he didn't make a single play of note. And as conservative as he was, he still put the ball in harms way of an INT several times. I don't know in what way he isn't being more successful but he doesn't pass the eye test to this point. We have three years of tape on Sammy and nothing has changed, regardless of who is calling the plays. Time to move on from this bust why we still have a top 2 pick. I only weep for the few who still think he is a good QB and will miraculously turn into a top 10 QB next year, because.....insert excuse here. I don’t know, I’d still rather roll with Darnold next year over taking Fields or Wilson at #2. I’d personally say fuck taking a QB all together and build up the rest of the roster. But I’d even accept a Mac Wilson or Kyle Trask with that Seattle pick over rolling with one of these complete coin tosses instead of a legitimate generational OL like Sewell or a trade back haul that includes a Kyle Pitts or DeVonta Smith in the Top 10-12.

Both games are what a franchise QB puts up in a half. 71% vs Aaron Donald = Fuck You. Build the roster. 3 years ago Sam was the cream; Josh Allen was thought tho be a project. Now Allen is following another person's vision for his talent. Sam Darnold likely will as well. allimsain

Lots of QB's having trouble with their timing on screens this year. 71% is a fantastic number for a JETS QB

There is a zero scenario where I want to move forward with Darnold, and even with two victories back to back his glaring weaknesses are on full display. He'll never win it all, so why bother. Regarding the 2nd pick I'm very torn at the moment but it will become clearer in the next few months. As much as I love Sewell I think selecting him would be a bad allocation of resources because you're basically drafting a RT second overall. If Becton struggled I could get the reasoning but Becton will be the best LT in the league next year. We need a QB desperately and we have the second pick....we have to draft one early even if we trade down a few slots. I can't take watching another season with Darnold steering the ship, regardless of the coaching changes.

Everyone is sliding their premier pass rushers to the right side with him there anyway. Sign the Guard from NE, draft a Center draft Sewell and a RB and run it down everyones throat. We could keep that together for 5 years. We'd be in every game.

Not only that....
Think of how IMPROVED the Jets Running Game would be as well with TWO O-Line monsters on either side.

Becton is a bulldozer and i dunno how good this other dude is but if it's anything like that shit just March the ball straight up the field at will lol. Sam can lob a pass here and there if he wants. Hell if gaze wasn't such an absolute dumbfuck they would have a much better record if they listened to the rookie Becton and simply let the mfs just follow him up the field. But at least we get early picks I guess

I'm not sure how anyone following this team could possibly be content with the o line now. Especially with JD and what Becton is doing. Finally someone on this godforsaken organization understands maybe the o line is slightly important for ya know keeping your qb alive... We put a monster line together that can impose their will like Becton and you don't need a QB and can win a SB with a bunch of mediocre bros like the eagles did. Either way the entire team needs to get better and Lawrence would get the shit kicked out of him too with this trash and this joke of a coaching staff. Build the o line and get some weapons and give the fuckin qb a fighting chance. Rookie or whatever it might be

The first pick for the Jets has to be the Sewell guy for the reasons you stated. I know some here want Fields/Wilson but both are pretty much Projects whereas all indications from Sewell is that he's at the very least.....Becton Part 2.
Take a look :

You know damn well that the Jets will fuck up & not get the first pick. There are currently 7 teams with only one win, although the Bungles have a tie too. Nailed it in the second post. nice work, Einstein.

I love me some Mangold and brick but Becton looks like a cartoon character out there. You have no choice but to walk into the emdzone on repeat he's like the giant on game of thrones out there. In the rare event someone can stop you from carrying the ball 12 yards at a time, Sam or Tannehill mark fuckin Sanchez can probably toss an occasional pass to the open WRs because they got 6 dudes trying to stop 2

He will eventually become a steady backup for the next 10-12 years. Kind of like Jason Garrett and Josh McCown.
